Friends,

The American networks are filtering the news... we are not being informed. Did you know that:

the UN High Commissioner for Refugees has called for a halt to the bombing
tens of thousands of Europeans have demonstrated against the war
there are eyewitness reports of extensive civilian casualties

If you want to look at alternative sources of information, I can suggest the following overseas sources...

Irish national network: http://www.rte.ie/news
French network TV5: http://www.tv5.org/nyc (in French)
Italian national network: http://www.rai.it (in Italian) ...and then click on Ultimo TG

Even in Britain and Canada they're a bit more open than US networks:

Locally (in the Bay Area) you can get an alternative perspective on KPFA 94.1 FM -- up to you to filter the leftie froth of a few of the presenters... You can also hear current and archived Democracy Now! programs at http://www.democracynow.org/
