Calliope's Biography

A Certain tree

I drift off into peaceful recollection,

beyond my pains distant constellation,

to a cherished childhood memory,

and time spent under a certain tree.

When the weight of the world was too much,

and I felt that I needed a crutch,

I would walk to that field,

and use that tree as a shield.

It would defend me against life,

and drive away all of it's strife.

I will never forget that tree,

and what it did for me,

now, when troubles come my way,

I drift away to a distant day,

when a tree in a field healed my pain,

helping me to stay sane.
