The hedonist
The Hedonist's Biography
Hedonsim's Heaven
The Dragon's eye closes behind the horizon,
as in the sea of the night, an oyster opens wide,
its child looking down on Earth, a bright beacon,
caressing the inhabitants of the darker divide,
tribes gather after hours to restock supplies
for the long road they will travel this night,
escaping from the lows and running with the highs,
as the flames of hedonism's hearth they ignite.
They rest at a communal oasis for sustenance
before setting off to find cloud nine in seventh heaven,
there is no map, but they will not find it by chance,
they will follow the rituals and be there before the hour eleven,
the leaders of the tribes have all been chosen
as they float through the grass to heaven's gate,
and the welcoming atmosphere of pleasure's den,
where all are always welcome and it is never too late.
