I feel the hand that rocked my cradle,
strong, calm, comforting and able
way back when I was a baby,
and think, has she changed ? maybe,
I no longer cry for her attention,
or get berated for getting detention,
I live my own life now,
as much as society will allow !
her rules replaced by laws,
the distant park by foreign shores,
strange how childhood thoughts and places,
are reflected through life and it's many faces.
