Calliope's Biography
No More Pleasurable Pain
I see her face in the clouds,
hear her voice in crowds,
I cannot get her out of my dreams,
along with my solitary screams.
The conversation stuck like a scratched record,
trapped in my memory,
choking me like a twisted chord,
stranding me on the sea of humanity.
I try to start again,
but everybody else's smile,
just brings back the pain,
making me feel vile.
I hear her laughter on the wind,
taste her lipstick whenever I lick my lips.
I did not mean to say it,
it just slipped out.
I will never forget the pain in her eyes,
eyes I will never look into again.
I smell her perfume in the air,
my emotions lost on the wind.
Thought we were more than passing ships !
I felt like I was out for a duck in cricket,
I wanted to cry, scream and shout.
No more tender good-byes,
no more pleasurable pain,
no more nights to share.
