Paul Michael Stafford
Paul Michael Stafford's Biography
Somewhere Behind Sorrow
Think I just felt my sanity hide,
Do not know, not sure anymore,
Just another hastily bolted door,
As rational thoughts begin to slide.
I think I see a hazy day,
Somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow,
It is hiding somewhere behind sorrow,
Got to try to get through it some way.
Days like this lost in the abyss,
Every second a multi - directional struggle,
The strain on my brain makes me boggle,
But I know somewhere in the future there is bliss.
I trudge onward through the darkness,
Homing in on a light that is hiding from view,
Knowing instinctively it is what I must do,
Knowing I will find comfort in it's soft caress.
