ABSTRACT

A new genus with two new species of Ameiridae (harpacticoid copepods) is described from the hyporheic zone of the Syncamore Creek, a Sonoran Desert intermittent stream (Arizona). This new genus, Psammonitocrella, is characterized by the strong reduction of the armature in the distal exopod segments of P2 to P4.
