"Dana that was called the Mother of the Gods, was beyond them all".
"And the three things they put above all others were the plough and the sun and the hazel tree, so that it was said in the time to come, that Ireland was divided between those three, Coll, the hazel, and Cecht, the plough, and Grian, the sun.*"
It is clear that their highest Goddess, is Dana, as they call themselves, The Danaan, the people of Dana.
The other God, the hazel-tree, is their totem tree, the tree of their specific tribe. In Europe, the hazel tree is still considered as having magic power, and is used to make dowsing rods, to find water or lost objects.
The plough could indicate either that they are a people devoted to agriculture, or that they come from the North (or both) as the constellation, Ursus Major, close to the Polar Star, is even today, sometime called, The Plough, because of its shape.
The Sun is more obvious. Many people, in the past were Sun worshippers, and as they are a nation coming from the North, where sunny days are rare, it would not be surprising.
