Sweet Potato Casserole |
This recipe is a family favorite at the holidays! My mom, Cindy, brought this one home only a few years ago, but we've been making it ever since. The best thing about this recipe is that it can be considered both a main course and a dessert! |
Ingredients |
4 cups cooked sweet potatoes, mashed. (Canned is fine, but drain) 2 eggs 1/2 cup melted butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon all spice |
Topping |
1/2 cup melted butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup self-rising flour 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans |
Preparation |
Mix sweet potatoes, eggs, sugar, and 1/2 cup melted butter together with electric mixer until smooth. Poor into buttered 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Mix all topping ingredients together by hand until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of sweet potato mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. |
