65 MEGABYTES - BIOGRAPHY {Page 1}

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Well, Where Do I Begin..... My Real Name Is David William Hurt, My Nicknames Include "Davide Enuarto" And Of Course "65 MEGABYTES".....

My Musical Talents First Sparked All The Way Back In 1988, I Would Be 6 Years Old At The Time, I Remember Walking Downstairs And Switching On Our VCR, And My Parents Had Left In A Video Of Some Music Bands Performing On Top Of The Pops..... At First I Was Curious, At 6 Years Old, I Was Still Learning About The Big World.....

Anyway, The Very First Song Which Came On, Was A Live Performance By An Accappella Band Known As "The Flying Pickets"..... Well, This Was Certainly A Strange Concept To Me..... On This TV, A Group Of Five People Were Singing A Song Made Famous By David Bowie {Space Oddity} Without Any Instruments At All ..... No Drums, No Keyboards, No Guitars, Nothing EXCEPT Their Own Voices.....

A Few Monthes Later, I Learned About Musical Instruments, And How They Are More Commonly Used In The Music World..... And Although I Now Use Keyboards And Computers In My Work, The Spirit Of Accappella Has Not Left My Soul.....

THE KEYBOARD

A Couple Of Years Later, And I Remember That Special Christmas Morning Back In 1990, And I Came Down To Receive My Christmas Presents..... I Received A Few Singing Cassettes Which Was OK (I Had Begun To Take An Interest In Singing By Then), But In My Final Present Of The Day................ A Casio Keyboard.....

"
Oh My God" I Thought..... Previously, I Had Only Ever Watched People Playing Musical Instruments On Television, And Now, I Actually Had A Keyboard Of My Own.....

And My Father, Who Has Sometimes Had A Concept Of "In The Deep End" Learning, Seated Me In Front Of The Television And VCR, And Placed On A Video Of The Great French Musician "Jean Michel Jarre".....

He Immediately Put On A Live Performance Of Jarre's, And The Song He Played Was Called "Oxygene IV" (I Think)..... Naturally, It Sounded VERY Complicted, But I Played Along As Best As I Could, But Within An Hour, I Had Already Worked Out The Best Sounding Parts On My Own Keyboard..... To Say My Family Were Impressed, Would Be An Understatement..... They Were ECSTATIC!

I Never Lost That Touch, I Would Usually Put On A Music Video, And Whether I Was Singing Along, Or Playing Along, I Could Always Find The Right Pitch.....
