Von Reichter leaned back in his chair, a deep frown etched across his forehead. On his main compuyter, the files for the Cyberseries were scatterd about in differant windows. They all showed excellence in strength, intelligence, speed, agility, and reflexes. But they all had two common flaws: disobedience, and kindness. Every single one of them was disobedient. Von Reichter had tried every disciplinary procedure he knew, he had even made up a few, but nothing helped. The brats were almost nine years old and they still refused to follow orders.

He had Cybers deciding they didn't feel like training and running off to play, Cybers going beyond the limits and venturing into the jungle... C29 had fallen off a cliff last year for heaven's sake! On top of that, they were too kind hearted. They would never murder anyone, maim anyone, or take part in Von Reichter's plans for world domination. The mongrels would probably try to destroy  him if they ever found out what his true intentions were. The Cybers were never going to complete assignments. The old scientist slammed his fist down on his desk in frustration.  The computer flashed, and a moment later a window came up with the option, 'Open File' or 'Cancle' Grumbling German curses, Von Reichter looked at the file. It was labelled, "Cyber Series 5000=Unit 7".
Pressing 'Open File', he inspected the charts.

Strength: Level 7--Unit shows above average strength. Can lift 1/2ton and hold for up to 5 seconds.

Intelligence: Level 9--Unit shows great aptitude. Grade 11 learning level.

Speed/Edurance: Level 8--Unit has improved greatly, can run 100 miles in 1/2hr without stopping, and then head right into Level 10 obstacle course. Has yet to complete course after running without collapsing half way.

Agility: Level 8--Unit shows excellence, above avareage level of agility.

Reflexes: Level 6--Unit is quick and alert. Reaction time: 1.2 ms

Combat: Above Avarage Fighting skills. Unwilling to harm another being. Is very kind hearted.

Unit obeys orders without question.

Von Reichter looked at the small photograph in the corner of the screen.  A female Cyber stared up at him. The child's hair was worn in short pigtails. Her round face was sweet and her wide black eyes were caring. A trace of a small, shy smile graced her lips. Her clothes, the striped shirt that all the cybers wore, was too big for her very tiny body. One side of the shirt fell over her shoulder, and the shirt hung to just above her her knees. Cyber Seven. The only Cyber to obey orders... Von Reichter thought back, something about this Cyber...yes. That was it. It was her.

When she had been inside her tank, developing, there had been a large storm. Lightning had struck the building, and fed right into her tank.  The sustenance had absorbed the shock and protected her from getting fried, but the charge had hit the monitering machines for her tank full force. They were destroyed.  Everyone had thought the cyber dead. When they opened the tank and the sustenance was drained away, a small baby Cyber was found inside. Cyber7 had survived, but barely. She was very tiny, being born premature, and Von Reichter had taken it apon himself to save her.

Injecting her with antibiodics and medicatiuons, Von Reichter had her moniterd around the clock. He had strained himself to save her. When her condition stabalized, Von Reichter had been ecstatic. Soon Afterwards, Cyber1's tank shut off atomaticly, and the sustenance drained out, signaling Cyber1's birth. Then a moment later, Cyber2's tank shut off and drained, then Cyber3's and so on.  So technically, Cyber7 was the first Cyber as she had been born before all of the others, but had been left with the code: Cyber7. None of the cybers knew of her unusual birth.

-
"Perhaps... the electricity triggered the right chemical in her brain..." Von Reichter began to get excited. If he had just one perfect Cyber, he could do many great things.  He could clone her, use her DNA to modify the other Cybers...she was still too kind of course, but that could be easily fixed.  Leaning back in his chair and placing the folder on his desk, he began forming a plan.

***

"Reichter's Pet, Reichter's Pet! Seven is a Reichter's Pet!!" A small group of Cybers was crowded in a circle, all taunting Cyber7 in a sing song voice. Seven herself, tried not to cry. Despite her efforts, her lower lip quivered.

"She's gonna cry!" A loud male Cyber yelled.

"What's wrong Little Miss Perfect, gonna cry to daddy now?" another girl taunted in a sickeningly sweet tone. Seven bit her lip, trying to hold it still with her teeth.

"Get lost!!" Cyber6's voice sounded out, as she and Cyber8 rushed over.

"Leave her alone!!" Eight yelled, pushing through the crowd, while Six shooed them away. Cyber21 strolled lazily along behind them. When one of the Cybers that had been taunting Seven ran past though, 21 lashed out and elbowed him in the back. The boy fell to the ground. C21 kept walking towards Seven, Eight and Six as if nothing had happened. Not looking back, his expression blank.

"You shouldn't let those idiots push you around," Six said, laying a hand on the smaller girls shoulder. Seven had always been smaller then everyone else.

"They're way bigger then me! Everyone is!" Seven sniffed, reaching up to fix a pigtail, but only making it worse. Eight pushed her hands away and fixed the lopsided pigtail for her. While he did so, he stated matter of factly,

"But you're way stronger then them and you know it. They can barely lift a half ton, you can hold it for 5 seconds."

"She's just too kind. She could kick their butts and she knows it, she just loves the attention being weak and pathetic gives her." 21 spoke up.

"I-I do not." Seven protested.

"Do too, you've got these to wrapped around your little finger. Look at them, fussing all over you. You've got boys fixing your hair!"He smirked at Eight, "Mama Six and Papa Eight, fussing over their baby girl Seven."

"Oh shut up 21. You hit that jerk from the group really hard and you know it. You worry about her just as much as we do." Six shot back.

"Hey, shes my friend too. Just because I don't fawn over her every second doesn't mean I like to see her getting pushed around."

"Its fine, I would just have reported them." Seven said, her voice soft.

"That doesn't help. Banana Nose likes cruelty. He praises them for it!" 21 scoffed.

"Arn't you in the wrong area 21? You're in Unit 3, that's no where near here. Get lost." Eight scowled at the other Cyber. C21 frowned and turned towards Seven.

"Want to go tease the Fixed Ideas?" he smirked. he already knew her answer. It'd be no. it was always no to anything fun. Seven always followed the rules. Always. She was so afraid to step beyond the boundaries laid for her. So afraid. So small, so fragile, so powerful. He stared into those black eyes and that firm little jaw that meant so much to him. He was eight years old, and his whole world revolved around one small girl already. His little big sister.

"No, thank-you. Its against the rules."

Bingo.

"Come on Seven. Let's go, its lunch time. We'll report 21 for harassing the Fixed Idea's later."

Eight. Always the bossy jerk.

"C21? Will you come eat with us? So you wont get in trouble? The staff wont ask about it if you go around and enter through your own door."

Seven, always trying to keep everyone else out of trouble.

"Yeah, come on 21, quit being anti-social for a day. You never spend enough time with us anymore. I miss you."

Six.  Always the sweetie.

"Oh why not." 21 said, waiving behind him as he headed towards his Unit area to go through his own doorway. He'd meet them in Mess Hall.  He'd do anything if Seven wished it. It was truly pathetic. "I'm just as bad as Six and Eight. Seven's got us wrapped around her pinky and she doesn't even know it."

**

"Are you sure? All of them?" The Type asked in shock after hearing Von Reichter's orders. The scientist nodded.

"All of them save for the seventh unit." Von Reichter dropped Seven's charts on the desk. One of the supervisors spoke up,

"Are you sure? The runt? Why not a stronger one?"

"Seven's the strongest of them all. She just lacks back bone and lets the other tease her." the supervisor of Seven's unit scoffed.

"Silence. Stop the feeding plan for the Xenors. Starve them, so when we are ready, they will be hungry." Von Reichter turned away and walked into the shadows, the types nodded sadly. They had grown fond of the little Cybers.

**

Seven rolled over in her bed. She lay in a large  narrow room with 10  beds in it. One for each Cyber of Unit One. The Units, were divided into 10s. Cybers 1-10 were unit one, 11-20 were unit 2, 21-30 was unit 3, etc. There were 500 units in all. She looked to her side, Eight was sleeping peacfully. Turning over, she saw that Six was the same.

A year ago, they had been a little group. Six, Eight, C21, C29 and herself. Cyber29 and Six had been the 'peacemakers'. Eight and 21 fought a lot, Six and 29 kept them from killing eachother. They made sure to include 21 also. Twenty-one was very anti social. He never talked to anyone, and kept to himself. The only reason he had reluctantly started to become friends with them was because of Six and Cyber29's insistence. Seven had been kind to him, and 21 had been extra nice to her.  Eight had never accepted him, but Seven could tell they were friends. They just didn't want to admit it.

The five of them would always look out for eachother. Would always take care of eachother. They were best friends. When 29 died...it left a hole inside the group that would never be mended. Like a perfect crystal shatterd, every peice flying across the floor in differant directions. They weren't whole anymore, they were broken. Six and Eight had gotten extra protective, and 21 had gone farther within himself. He made fun of them, he didn't do stuff with them anymore, and he was always getting himself beaten for bad behavior...everything was wrong.

Seven being a goody two shoes didn't help either. She made the other Cybers hate her because she was always acting so good. She never got the beatings the others did, she never caused trouble. The others would pick on her, tease her, bully her.  All her friends were always watching out for her.  She appreciated their concern, but they were fighting about her now too.  "Its all my fault, our bond is broken and its my fault..." she whispered to herself.

"No it isn't."

"Who said that?" Seven sat upright, and looked into C21's face.  He was standing by the door way.  His hair was still in its uneven cut, one side of bangs much longer then the other, he was still wearing the striped t-shirt and brown shorts. Customary Cyber uniform. Seven climbed out of bed, her own extra large shirt swimming on her, practically going to her knees. One side of the neckline falling off to the side and revealing her small shoulder as always. Her feather soft black hair was clinging to her face, out of it's pigtails. C21 walked over to her and brushed the hair from her eyes.

"I did." He murmured. "You've been having the nightmares again..."

"I'm the only one..." Seven said softly, making sure not to wake her sleeping siblings.

"No...I have them too...that's why I came, because I knew you had them, because I can talk to you..."

"Why not Six?"

"Because I wanted to see you."

"Oh..." she blushed a little. Twenty-one grabbed her small hand in his and pulled her towards the doorway.  "It's after curfew!"

"Don't worry, I'll keep us out of trouble. I promise." 21 looked into her huge black eyes. After a moment, she nodded, obviously scared out of her wits, but she trusted him. That made 21's heart leap in joy. Someone trusted him. Seven trusted him.

He lead her through the hallways and out onto the roof. Ducking into a corner where surveillance camera's couldn't catch them, they lay on their backs and stared up the Amazonian night sky. All around them was the complex. The huge center about a mile away from Von Reichter's main lab, the place where the Cybers were trained.

Marked by fences were each unit's sections. Unit one, unit 2, unit 3...all five hundred Units. In other sections were the running courses, the obstacle courses, the school houses. The place was huge. And they were all boxed in by the jungle.

"You'd think no one could escape this place..." 21 mutterd.

"Yeah..." Seven agreed, curious as to where he was going with that statement.

"But, I figure the Cybers could. Its just that no one is willing to try." 21 propped his head up on his elbow and looked down at Seven, her huge black eyes a mix of fear, and curiosity. "But I'm going to try. And I want to take you with me."

"What?! Why me?!"

"You can make it out there. I'll keep you safe and we can finally be free."

"What's wrong with being here?" Seven's eyes had grown to saucer like proportions.  C21 put a calming hand on her cheek.

"Von Reichter is evil. He's going to destroy all the Cybers! Seven your life is in danger here."

"How do you know?"

"I was sneaking by the lab the other day to pet the lab monkeys and I heard Three Eyes talking to the supervisors. He's going to use the Xenors!" C21 left out the part about Seven being left alive.

"Why? Why would he do that? He's threatened us with the Xenors before, what is differant now?"

"I don't know, but we have to escape."

"But what of the others? You want to leave them behind?"

"No, but we can't all leave at the same time. Baggy Pants won't notice the absence of two Cybers."  Seven's eyes softened and she took C21's hand. He looked at her. "I know your afraid, I am too but we cannot stay here. Please come with me."

"C21, I want to beleive you but...I can't. Maybe you misunderstood? And even if I did go, I'd only slow you down!" Seven pleaded with him. Not wanting him to go. C21 shook his head, the one side of long bangs swinging lightly.

"You're stronger then I am Seven. You could make it through no problem. I'd probably be the one slowing us down." he paused. "I want you come, I'm begging you to come; but If you wont, I'll go alone. I can't stay here. I refuse to let Von Reichter take away the life he's given me." He looked at her, taking both of her tiny hands in his. Seven slowly shook her head.

"I can't, I just can't.  I'm too afraid of doing something wrong, of dissapointing him. I don't know why....but I can't...I can't...I feel like I owe him something. " a few tears slid down Seven's cheeks, as she tried to explain why she couldn't mess up, why she was so afraid to be less then the perfect Cyber.

"Why? Why do you care what he thinks? You don't owe him anything!...Don't you want to be free?"

"What freedom is there in running away? In being among humans? We don't belong there."

"We can find a way. There is always a way."

"Not for me. My place is here...I'm sorry..." Seven looked away.

Her eyes glittered with tears as she stared at the full moon. The silver light illuminated her face. Twenty-one blinked back his own tears and squeezed her hand."Alright...But I'll miss you." She nodded, her movements were jerky and animated, not smooth and graceful like they usually were.

"Are you leaving tonight?" She asked, her voice was barely a whisper.

"No...soon but not yet." He pulled her backwards into him, her small back moulding perfectly against his chest. Her small frame easily slipped into his lap, and she lay her head against his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her. They sat in silence, staring at the moon.

**
3 Months Later
**

Cyber21 snuck away from his unit, creeping across unit 2's area and into Unit 1's. He glanced around, they were doing obstacle training. He looked over the field and spotted Seven, Eight, and Six. Calmly walking across the field, he made his way over to them.

When he approached, he came up behind Eight and 'accidentally' tripped him.

**
5 mins later
**
"Get lost 21! Why do you always have to come here and bother us?!" Eight shouted.

"Because you always freak out and I enjoy watching you act like an idiot." C21 smirked. Eight fumed.

"G-guys, calm down...Eight stop shouting, 21 quit egging him on..." Six stepped between the two boys, trying to break them apart. Seven reached out and touched C21's hand. Looking into his eyes, she mouthed the word 'please'.

Her eyes were sad. They had been that way since the night... C21 nodded. He hated that she was sad over him, and he had almost changed his mind for her, but she wouldn't hear of it. 'If you're going go... but don't change your mind 50 times.' she had said, and turned away.

"Okay, sorry. I'll shut up now." C21 sat down next to 7.

"You okay Seven?" Eight asked, his eyes softened, and he took a step towards her.

Seven looked at her brother thoughtfully. Cyber8 had boyish innocence to his appearance. His mushroom cut hair was glossy like Cyber6's. His eyes were kind, but they could easily burn with anger. Seven smiled weakly and nodded. Would Eight be glad to see C21 go? If Eight knew...would he be nicer to 21?

"Ahhh!!" a shrill scream cut through the air. The four Cybers spun around to see Cyber4 on the level 6 obstacle course.  She had been jumping across a gap, when the boards she landed on gave way, and she plummeted down. Grabbing onto a horizontal pole, she managed to catch herself, but her right arms was dislocated from the jolt and it hung limply at her side. She was now hanging by her left arm, far below her was the pavement, if she let go and hit the ground, she'd break every bone in her body.

"Jump to another ledge!" Cyber2 yelled, but it was obvious that Four couldn't. There wasn't anything close enough, and with one dislocated shoulder she couldn't swing herself up to the top of the pole. She'd just have to hold on for dear life.

Suddenly Eight and 21 were off, racing towards Four. Eight ran up to the entrance to the course and began to make his way through, jumping over the gaps and swinging on the ropes to get to Four. He made it to the platform and looked ahead of him. About 10 feet below him and 10 feet ahead of him was the pole Four was holding onto. The metal staff was horizontal between two stone pillars, Four was in the middle.  It was tough. C21 came up behind him.

"I have an idea...the pole, its like a metal tight rope between those two pillars right?" C21 asked. Eight nodded.

"Yeah, and if we could get to it, we could walk across and get to her...." Eight finished the thought.

"We could use a rope, so we can pull her to safety when we have her, like a pulley."  They nodded and ran off in different directions.

C21 grabbed a rope from another part of the obstacle course and he and Eight climbed down to a platform one end of the Pole. C21 looped one end around another vertical pole, handing the two ends to Eight. The other Cyber ran along the boards to the other side, bring the ends of the rope around the vertical pole there and tying them up tight.  Turning back to face C21 who was standing on the other side of the gap, Eight nodded. C21 nodded back and carefully manoeuvred onto the pole Four was stuck hanging to.

Walking like a tight rope walker, C21 carefully made his was to the center. He wobbled a few times but managed to make it without falling. Carefully leaning down he looked into Four's scared eyes. "See those ropes about a foot away? I need you to swing your legs out and grab the closest with them okay? So we can pull you back. You'll have to be upside down when we do it but...it can be done."

"Okay..." Four bit her lip and slowly began to sway herself. When she was far enough so that her toes were swinging past the rope, she went for it.

Swinging hard she lifted one leg higher so that the rope was in between her legs. Crossing them she let go with he left hand and let herself fall away, towards the rope. The rope sagged at the extra weight and there was a tense moment when it looked like the nine year old Cyber would fall to her death, but she didn't.

Hanging upside down with one arm flailing uselessly, Four held onto the rope with all her might. She managed to swing her good arm up and snatch the rope so she could keep herself up easier.  On the ledge, Eight began to tug on one of the ropes, pulling Four closer to him. Twenty-one hurried back across the bar to his ledge, and began pulling on another side of the rope. FourSS started moving faster, and soon the was pulled over onto the ledge. letting go, she dropped exhausted to the floor, wincing at her arm. The crowd at the bottom cheered.

"They work well together when they aren't fighting..." Six commented. Seven nodded thoughtfully.

"Yeah...they make a great team..." Seven cocked one head to the side, thinking. The two girls ran over and greeted Eight and 21 at the bottom of the course. Seven made sure the supervisor wasn't listening and turned to 21. "Take Eight with you."

"What?! No way!"

"Take me where?"

"What are you guys talking about?"

"Take Eight with you. If you really plan on going through with it, You can't go alone!"

"Not. A. Chance."

"Take. Me. Where?!"

"Huh? Guys?"

"I'm not bringing him! If you want me to have someone with me, you should come!"

"I can't! Eight is the best choice!"

"If I wanted to bring Eight I would have asked him."

"Fine. I'm sure Von Reichter will be very interested in your plans."

"You wouldn't..."

"I would. Take him or don't go."

"TAKE ME WHERE?!?!"

"I'm confused..."

"Take Eight with you."

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"For me?"

"N-no. No way."

"But I'll be so much happier knowing you have him with you..."

"I--no."

"But, please? *sniff*"

"...Oh fine."

"Thank-you!"

"*deep breath* TAKE. ME. WHERE?!"

**

Seven hugged Eight and C21 good-bye. Eight looked grumpy, but mildly excited. Six sat on Eight's bed and was crying quietly. Around them, Unit One slept soundly.

"Bye...take care all right Seven?" Eight had a hand on Seven's shoulder. She nodded, giving a weak smile.  He took her into a rough hug, before moving to Six to say good-bye to her as well.

"Don't get killed in the jungle..live for me okay?" Seven held C21's hands. He reached up and fingers one soft pigtail.  Seven reached up and pulled out the hair bands, her shoulder length black hair falling around her face. Taking Cyber21's wrist she put one band over it, smiling shyly.

"I... Thank-you. I'll keep it always."

"I want to run and tell, so you wont leave...even if you get beaten, just so you'll stay here..but...I know you want freedom, and I can't keep you here..." Seven smiled weakly. "I wish you wouldn't go."

"I wish I was wrong and wouldn't have to go." Seven frowned. Seven rolled her eyes and hugged him.

Six smiled weakly at Eight, tears streaming down her face. "Those...those pants are too big.." She said, referring to the pants both Eight and C21 wore, the fabric pileing around their shoes.

"Yeah but they'll protect our legs."

"I guess..." Cyber6 reached out and hugged Eight.

"You should come with us..."

"No, I have to stay for Seven. If we all go it'll hurt her terribly. At least I can be here for her with you two gone."

"She should come.."

"She's afraid. Eight, don't die out there. Don't fight with Cyber21, work together." Six smiled at eight, hugged him one last time and walked over to Seven. Taking her little sister in a hug, they watched as the two boys turned to leave the room.

"Eight! Hold up!" Seven pulled away from Six, and ran over to her brother. She took the other hair band and put it around Eight's wrist. Eight smiled and hugged her.

"If you guys are really going, you're gonna need some help." Six smiled sadly through her tears, "By the west gate is a Fixed Idea.  He's a friend of mine.  Tell h..."

"YOU made FRIENDS with a FIXED IDEA?" 21 snorted.  The others looked at Six as if she'd turned suddenly into a carrot before their very eyes.

"Its a secret.  Please don't tell." She glanced at Seven, "please?"

"I won't tell." Seven promised.

"Tell him I sent you.  I KNOW he'll help you."

"Sure, yeah." 21 glanced at Eight, who shook his head slightly.  They both slipped out.

**
10 minutes later
**

"Nearly there." 21 whispered, "let's go!"

The two boys were creeping behind the bushes that had grown up along the tall fence surrounding the training compound.  The Fixed Idea at the gate was looking up at the stars.

"This'll be a cinch!" 21 thought to himself.  The two silently crawled to the gate, only to be stopped by four short crates stacked in the bush next to the gate.

Two huge green hands shot through the bush, grabbed them by the collars, and hauled them out roughly, scratching their arms on the branches.

"Boys not good." the Fixed Idea said, "Must Go back.  Die in jungle."

The two whipped their arms and legs about, but the Fixed Idea was too big and strong for them.  He turned and was about to walk them back to their units when 21 said desperately, "Cybersix sent us!"

The Fixed Idea stopped, dropped the two boys, and said, in a deep rumbling voice "And I thought Cybers were smarter than Fixed ideas."

The two boys stared, stunned, at the Fixed Idea.  The Intelligent Fixed Idea.

"There's no sustenance out there in the jungle, much less the rest of the world.  How long can you last out there without it?" He demanded.

21 looked a bit sheepish, "Ahh, well...."

"You forgot about sustenance?!" Eight cried. "Why am I doing this again....?"

"Because you love me." 21 rolled his eyes.

The Fixed Idea looked at them narrowly, "Cybersix sent you?"

"Y-y-yes.  She said you were her friend, and that you'd help us escape." Eight stammered.

The Fixed Idea looked at them, then sighed and pulled out some keys, "Ah, what's another two?  Here," he tossed the keys to them, "Use the red one to get into the storehouse to get some knapsacks.  Then come back here." He shook his head, "You Cybers will be making me into a vial before my time."

21 and Eight scampered off to the storehouse, "Can you imagine that?  A SMART Fixed Idea!" 21 whispered hoarsely.

"No wonder Cybersix wants to keep it a secret!" Eight replied, "Ol' Banana nose'll have that poor Fixed Idea deactivated!"

The boys got the knapsacks and returned to find the fixed idea opening a crate.  A green glow flowed from the crate, "Carry this into the jungle, then use the leaves to pad the bottles when you put them into the knapsacks.  If you don't exert yourselves too much, it'll last you several years." the fixed idea said.

The boys ran into the jungle, carrying the crate between them.  The fixed idea watched them disappear, then turned his eyes up the road, "When IS she gonna get here?" he muttered impatiently

The next Day
**

We were all lined up in rows of a hundred, whispering about what the assembly was all about. We didn't know. "Unit 7, step forward." Von Reichter called to her. Cyber7, Little Miss Perfect, Reichter's Pet, Goody Two Shoes. Cyber7, with her little pig tails, which she uncharacteristically didn't have that day, and wide eyes obediently stepped forward. A few snickers escaped our mouths. We were probably going to see her get an award for good behaviour or something. Most of us never actually knew C7, but she was famous for good behaviour.

I was second from the end of the line, being 4999, so I had to strain to see what was happening down there. C7 was looking up into Reichter's face, her eyes a little wider then normal. When they turned and started to leave the room I got nervous.

"Where are they going?" 4998 asked me as they walked towards the door. I didn't answer, I was too busy watching the cages as they were lowered into the room.

In the cages huge bug like creatures buzzed loudly and hurt my ears. Their wings were razor sharp and deadly, on each foot a set of sharp claws, wicked pointed teeth growled at us. Their hard exoskeletons shone red in the light. They were Xenors!! I screamed then, and there was a mad dash for the door. I saw 338 reach it first, but Von Reichter slammed in shut in her face. I could see C7's face as the door closed, her face was one of sheer horror. But she wasn't doing anything! Why was she letting him do this?!

"Cyber7!! Help us!! Please!!" We were screaming, banging on doors, searching for air vents from which to escape, but she wasn't helping. She wasn't doing anything.

As a Xenor swooped down on 4998 I jumped out the way, stumbling and landing hard on the floor. I watched in horror as the Xenor ripped at his flesh, tearing off limbs, eating him as he screamed. I tried to attack it, tried to help but the beast threw me off with one of it's claws. I turned my gaze to the rest of the room.

My brothers and sisters, the other Cybers, fought off the Xenors as best they could, leaping up, bouncing off walls, making the Xenors fight for their meal.  There were also screams of pain, screams for mercy as the Xenors ripped them apart. Tears streamed down my face. "C7 why aren't you helping us?!" I pleaded to no one in particular. Wishing this was just a nightmare and that I could just wake up and be done with it. An ominous buzzing brought me out of my thoughts. Before I had barley finished turning around it pounced!

I fought and kicked but the larger creature held me down and began ripping at my arm with it's teeth. I screamed as white hot sparks of pain shot through me, paralysing me in fear. I watched horrified as the Xenor chewed, dropping blood over my face, it was chewing on my arm, my little hand disappearing. I never knew that even after you lose a limb you could still feel it. I fought against it, my terror forcing my stunned muscles to move, but the claws holding my body down tightened and dug into me. I choked and coughed, blood running from my mouth as the Xenor ripped a piece of my stomach away.
It was getting hard to see and I could taste blood in my mouth. Things got dark, my vision blurred and disappeared.

**

"Come along Cyber7." Von Reichter said, and walked down the hallway. Seven was pushed forward by a Fixed Idea. The small Cyber was in too much shock, her legs refused to work. She fell over from the push. The Fixed Idea leaned over and picked her up, carrying her down the hallway after Von Reichter.

All Seven could think was, 'He was right. He was right...I should Have Believed him! I should have done something!' Seven began to struggle in the fixed idea's Arms. "No! No, no, no!" She screamed, kicking and punching, trying to break free. She got loose and leaped from the Fixed Idea's arms.  She bounced off a wall and landed on the floor running. She raced back down the halls and skidded to a stop in front of the doors to the room where her family was. She banged and kicked at the door. "Open! Open!" She sobbed, banging at it with her small fists. In her rage she made a few dents in the steel door.

From behind her a Type grabbed her. She screamed and fought, but the Type held tight.  He held her up to the window at the top of the door. What she saw silenced the small girl. Her body began to shake with fear and horror, and she began to sob quietly.  The type handed her to Von Reichter, who had followed her down the hallway.

"Shh, shh little one. Soon you will forget this day, soon you will feel no more pain." The doctor whispered into her ear. Too shell shocked to fight, Seven allowed herself to be carried down the halls into an operation room.
