So, Lisa Loeb took stage first, of course. That was at like, 7:30. I have no idea what time the Goo Goo Dolls began. I'm guessing around 8:30/8:45. Really though, NO CLUE! |
My cousin Matt came with me to this show. We got in line at like, 1pm... were part of the first 20 people in line... not like it matters! It was COLD out, but at least it wasn't snowing or raining... that would have been AWFUL! |
I think a lot of people at the front of the line didn't like the way security handled the crowd. They opened like, 6 doors at once, which meant the people that froze their butts off for 5 hours (9, for some people!) got screwed over! What a crock! |
The Goo Goo Dolls played all of their hits, plus Lucky Star (which SHOULD have been a hit!), and some other songs. During one of John's songs, I held up a piece of paper that said "Can I have a BASS PICK?" and GUESS WHAT??? Robby Takac threw me one! That was really cool! Now I know why they always have extras taped to their instruments! |
After the show, I bought some stuff. Then Matt and Rachel and Virginia (our new concert pals) took a small walk to where other people were standing outside. The busses and stuff were all roped off... not like the Chicago show. Some guy (possibly a tour manager?) was asking people to leave. He said the band would feel obligated to sign stuff, even though they weren't feeling totally well (hungover). Matt, Virginia, Rachel and I left... out of respect for the Goo Goo Dolls. All in all, it was a GREAT night! |
Oh yeah, did I mention I managed to get FRONT ROW? Yeah, THAT'S RIGHT! FRONT FREAKIN' ROW!!! |
