House #2: Office / Baby room *under construction still*
Another handmade floor! A lot of these items were handmade, details later on. I still need to fix the top of the door. I don't know what but I don't like how the yellow and purple just meet, it doesn't flow. I also want a baby rug for the baby side.
A close-up of the desk. Everything on the desk (purchased at A.C. Moore) was handmade. The papers and books are all print-outs. The "lamp" made with some beads and glue. The "candles" are hot glue with dried flowers on a mirror. The flowers were handmade and "potted." And the picture is a print-out and placed in a cardboard filler (bought at Michaels).
Another view of the desk and the back cupboard. A few handmade items: a couple of fimo-made items, painted gold. A gold "dragon" on the bottom and a single candle in the middle.
A look at the baby's side. I'm looking for a rug that will work better but for now, I'm only using a small left-over piece of white. More items here are made: both Pooh pictures, some toys in the crib and on the shelves. The shelves are actually left-over pieces of wood I had. I also painted the wall color on to the little balls on the crib and covered the bedding with a piece of a purple scarf.
A close-up of the toy chest. Chest painted to match the walls. The yellow and green toy were made using pom-poms. The other four stuffed animals purchased at Michaels. I got the block toy in Florida. The dolphin, the purple rock and pink toy on the shelfs were beads. And the little Pooh and larger brown bear were made using fimo. The doll is some sort of bead-like toy I found lying around.
I added some adorable Winnie the Pooh stickers to the crib so I took a picture of that (sorry it's blurry!). I also cleaned up the crib a little and put more of the toys on the trunk. I also added a (matching purple fabric) pillow but you can't see that from this view.
