House #3: Shower *under construction still*
Started off with the idea... My first real project from scratch!
My Grandpa helped me cut the wood. :) I just used cheap plywood that I got from Lowes ($1.19/12x12)
I found some fabulous tile at 'Home Depot' - only cost 99 cents per sheet (I got one for my shower tile, one for my bathroom floor, and one extra).
Next I tiled the shower walls, floor and front side. I was going to tile both the sides but I thought that may be too much (since the bathroom floor will also be this tile)... so instead I stained ('oak') the back sides.
Not anywhere near done - it's not yet glued together either. Just an idea of what it will look like. I'm still wondering if I should tile the backs... the stain isn't too bad, but haven't decided yet so can't finish the fronts (I will tile the vertical ends where the tile and wood meet). Also, I need to find (or make) handles and the other shower necessities.
