~From comingsoon.net:
"With Hilary Duff out of Disney's loop, the studio is determined to create a new teen star and is annointing Raven, the 17-year-old actress who got her start as a three-year-old on The Cosby Show, as its newest big-screen debutante.
Raven, star of the highly rated Disney Channel series That's So Raven, will try to build on her TV success for Disney by starring in the feature comedy Disney's All-American Girl.
Produced by Debra Martin Chase (The Princess Diaries), "Girl" is based on the best-selling novel from "Diaries" author Meg Cabot. Raven will star as a young girl who inadvertently saves the life of the president of the United States and becomes a national hero.
