Have you ever traveled in time? Students will do just that in this fun activity where they will interview famous people related to the area of study. In pairs the students will write a list of interview questions they would ask any famous person (past or present). Each pair researches the famous person to find the answers. To finish the project after all the answers have been found, the pair will act as TV host and GUEST with one student becoming their famous person.
Find out what students could be award winning
novelists with their book proposals for historical fiction novels.
Before letting students loose brainstorm some of the mmajor events from
the time period. The proposal should have 3 paragraphs:
Description
of cities, places, dates, and people.
Description
of main character (name, occupation, characteristics)
Summary
of the plot (main conflicts, historical events)
To finish the project have each student design
a book jacket to go along with their novel.
