George's Jealousy
By Melissa of Firentoads
Everyone in the Gryffindor tower was walking down to breakfast when they got there a crowd was starting to surround Fred and Angelina.
"Ooohhhhh!  I can't believe you two are an item it's just too cute!" squealed Lavender Brown.
"Fred and Angelina are a couple?"  Ron asked George.
"Yep," replied George in a bored glum voice which was extremely unusual for either of the Weasley twins to have.
"Is George alright?"  Hermione whispered to Ron.
"I don't think so, the last time I saw George like that was when Percy found out Fred and George had filled his room with screeching dung-bombs they set them to go off every 20 minutes, no-one could sleep or breath for weeks.  Mum put them on de-gnoming for a month and they had to clean out dad's shed."
Fred was no longer accompanied by George but Angelina and a large group of giggly Gryffindors, George could be seen lurking behind the group carrying what oddly resembled books.
Hermione entered the library and handed over the books she had booked out and saw George sitting by himself.  "Hi George, looking for loop holes in the Hogwarts rule book again?" chuckled Hermione.
"No, I'm researching my History of Magic assignment."
"Are you okay George, you've been acting unGeorge like, I mean Fred still seems the same."
"Have you ever noticed hot it's always Fred.  He's the best beater even though there are two of us TWINS!  Or when we get in trouble everyone rushes him to find out what happened, of course he's always the hero.  And he's the one with the cute girlfriend who everyone has started a cult to follow after."
Hermione had never realized this but most of what George was saying was true but she pushed it aside and decided that George was just adjusting to not being with Fred after the time.  "I'm sure it's nothing George, I mean you're still brothers and twins, you two will both always have a special place for each other, it'll blow over."
"Yeah I know it's just annoying me, sometimes I wish I wasn't a twin but you sor tof can't hide from being Fred's twin.  I had half the 3rd year Gryffindor girls stalking me the other day thinking I was Fred!  I think I'm just feeling weird."
"Well I know it'll get better, good luck with your assignment if you need a hand let me know, I've been gathering notes for my N.E.W.T's."
"N.E.W.T's!  Hermione you're only a 5th year you have another 2 years!  Maybe this library is as bad as I thought," replied George.
At breakfast a few days after Hermione had spoken to George she went and sat next to him, he seemed to be staring blankly into space.
"George...George...hello?" Hermione was waving her hand in front of his face.
"Hermione," he replied hardly taking his eyes off the spot he'd been looking at.  "Hey do you know what year that girl over there is in...The pretty one...with the smile...and the hair?"
"She's a Ravenclaw 5th year, her name is Helena Drawbes, she nearly got higher grades than me in Astronomy last year!  I don't think she's muggle born.  By the way George, Harry told me to tell you there's Quidditch training tomorrow night at 6 pm and you can't be late because Professor McGonagall is supervising.  I've got to go to the library...bye" Hermione replied in nearly one breathe.
At the other end of the Gryffindor table Fred and Angelina were laughing about a joke Fred just told.  Harry and Ron were talking about George's odd behavior.  "Hermione said she saw him in the library...doing work like proper work, not putting charms on people's books or sneaking up behind people.  I think he's finally cracked.  I though we wouldn't have another weird one after Percy!"
"I hope Fred starts acting a bit more like George" said Harry.  "Professor McGonagall said if Fred's marks don't get up he'll be off the team and Angelina and him have been sneaking off behind the broom shed every 10 minutes!"
George waited at the bottom of the Ravenclaw stairs for Helena to walk by.  "OMG!  Aren't you Fred Weasley?  You're sooooooooo cute!  And you and Angelina are even cuter!  EVEN CUTER!" screamed a Gryffindor girl walking pass.
"I'm not Fred, I'm George" George replied quietly as the Gryffindor girl walked away.
"Hi," said a voice.  George turned around, it was Helena.
"I like your tactics," Helena said.  "I'm Helena...and your George...the guy who my friends are certain was staring at me all during breakfas?"
        "Ha ha um....well....yes," replied George.
"You wanna meet me down near the lake after school?" said Helena.
"Sure" replied George with a gigantic Weasley twin smile on his face.
At lunch Fred came and sat with George.
        "Where's Angelina?" asked George.
"I dunno, she didn't think exploding roses were as funny as I did...maybe because she was near Filch and a suic of armour at the time...she kind of got detention now and it's all my fault."
"She'll get over it," replied George.
"She'd better, we have practice tonight."
        "Huh?" said George, stunned.
"Well I got to go find Angelina and beg for mercy," said Fred as he walked off.
"Hi," said George smiling as he passed Helena a flower.
"Hi, thanks for meeting me and the flower," Helena smiled.
George and Helena chatted for over an hour then George remembered that he had Quidditch practice.
"Oh no, I've got practice!" said George.
"I better get back, it's getting dark" said Helena.  "I'll see you at breakfast tomorrow?"
"Love to," replied George as he hurried to practice.
After practice Angelina had finally forgiven Fred after he had agreed to carry her books for a month and the Gryffindor Quidditch team was in the common room relaxing.
"Hey Hermione told me what's been going on, sorry I didn't realize, let's go back to being Weasley twins!" said Fred.
"Got anymore exploding roses?" laughed George.
"No, Angelina made me throw them out but I do have enough screeching dung bombs to give us detention until we're thirty" replied Fred with a mischievous grin.
        "Let's go!" said George.
The next morning at breakfast the two Weasley twins could be seen together laughing, joking, and sharing their breakfast with their new girlfriends, and avoiding glares from Professor McGonagall and Filch the caretaker, who were still ransacking the Gryffindor Tower for screeching dung-bombs.
