What went wrong?

Lately that’s all

I seem to be able to ask.

I thought I knew.

I knew what was happening,

Knew what I wanted,

What you wanted,

What we wanted.

There were clouds and stars and dreams.

There was a fluttering in my stomach.

It was all there.

Wasn’t it?

But it’s too easy,

For that to be what went wrong.

No, it was much more,

Than a simple misunderstanding.

If I could ask you I would.

But you’re gone,

Vanished like the night,

Leaving not a trace.

You left me here all alone,

With nothing to ask but
