Fundamentals of breathing, tone production, rhythm
reading and posture. These skills
carry on forever. Tune Sheets. |

Basis for note reading is developed. Essential Elements books are used. Square contest begins. |

Students become more proficient at note reading, with
note/fingering coordination being stressed.

Scales are learned, in preparation for the Mardi Gras

Preparation for Chamber Music Night (duets). Sheet music distributed for Spring Concert
