We all need to try and reduce our carbon footprints, either by offsetting our carbon from flights, or installing low energy light bulbs or installing microenergy generators on our houses. It is now even possible to offset your car emissions via your insurance with companies like ibuyeco and ecoinsurance.co.uk
This page highlights some of the things we can do, and some of the more fun things we can use, that have developed from the drive to be greener and more energy efficient.
So the first thing that can be done, is switch your energy, to low carbon footprint energy, or at least to an energy supplier who will offset some of your carbon in projects, such as planting trees or reducing C02 emissions in the third world.
You can also consider generating your own electricity via wind power for electricity and solar power for either electicity or to heat hot water in your home. One highly publicised company is Windsave, who provide excellent domestic wind farms. Grants are available to part fund this, and more info can be found on the pages below.
Other than money the reducing factors, there are many other uses for renewable energy, some of which are great fun. Below is a list of things I have found on the web, which are both decorative, fun and dead useful!
