Welcome to my Stocks and Shares page. I first started getting interested in Shares about 5-6 years ago, and love to dabble in the market. An easy and cheap was to do this is through something like the Share builder account which provides a cheap way to start investing.

My three tips for 2007 are listed below. And you will be able to see how well they're doing over the coming year. All companies are listed on the main london Stock exchange or the AIM market in London.

My first choice is Afren Plc. An oil exploration company run by the former head of OPEC. It is working with local goverments and people in West Africa to find new oil fields.... expect great things! My second choice is the old Industry favourite ICI. Although they have hived off lots of its business, ICI is still a strong and profitable company, makng products such as Dulux paint. Well worth it this year I think. My last choice, is the retial darling, the shop where reportedly £1 in £7 spent on the high street goes! It had a record year last year, a record Christmas, and the share price is doing well. Expect great things from the TESCO team this year! So those are my tips, let's hope they all come up trumps.

Despite poor performace in recent weeks on the world stock exchanges, my 3 tips for 2007 have faired reasonably well so far. Check back regularly and I will update how these shares are doing and try and give you some more tips!!
