Frankenstein, Or, The Modern Prometheus

Frankenstein

Never has anyone created such a fantastic novel encompassing one of man's most arrogant defects -- that of trying to play God. Clones, clandestine genetic engineering, artificial genetically-engineered "organisms" nurtured to be sold and fed to human beings, and the very desire to create "Life" itself, all manifest clearly this hazardous pseudo-role assumed only by the most presumptuous, but dangerous, minds. It is surely not for mankind to assume and pretend to play the role of his own Creator. As you shall see from this amazing novel, very interesting indeed in all its aspects, such an act will only lead to unpleasant and fatal doom, especially when the very intention fires back on us to explode unexpectedly in terrible proportions.
