Rain day
A front drapes the mountains and we get rain all day. But inside the garage workshop framing goes on.
When wall sections are framed, window sections take a lot of time to complete because of all the pieces that must be measured, cut and assembled. The window rough opening headers, sill, trimmer studs and cripple studs are created based on the building plan window schedule.
Today is spent cutting and assembling the parts for the remaining windows in the first floor, and stacking them for wall layout on a nicer day.
No one answered the April "Guess the Tool" correctly, although the entry from California was the most creative.
This is a bo-wrench. It is used to straight bent or cupped boards during wall assembly. The hook fits over a board and the long handle gives leverage for bending. See the bo-wrench in action in a future photo . . .
