The Home Photos

Mel was given this vehicle by her kind father around 1997 after it sat on his property in southeastern Oklahoma for a few years. The wiring was eaten by squirrels and it barely ran. After a few trips to see Tom the mechanic, it passed everything but a gas station and was a favorite in the Mel Motor Vechicle Pool. Everyone loved to borrow it and did as it helped moved many of Mel's friends and family. But alas, it needed work. Men loved the truck. "Don't get rid of that thing, it has a 460!" they would exclaim. Long on promises and short on abilities by these well-meaning men, the truck needed a good home with a real mechanic. In the spirit of the Freebie Sale, the truck was given to Jim and Mel's mechanic, John. Good luck, John. I know you will give Bessie a great home and a chance at a better life. Long live Bessie.
