Frankenbok's Death Twist

This five piece from Williamstown who describe their music as 'death
metal with a twist' were truly tortured with a slow beginning.
"I wasn't doing much with Bacterium," said vocalist Adam Glynn. "I
decided to get Frankenbok together. At our first gig we got a good
response, even though we were a three piece with a drum machine."
With the lack of a full sound, Frankenbok enlisted the services of their
second guitarist Scott Lang, but although searching frantically they
could not find a drummer. "People really didn't take us seriously,
because we were a four piece with a drum machine," claimed Adam. "It was
kind of heartbreaking."
The lads recorded their CD "The Album Is On The Way" in the four piece
formation. "We wanted to bring Frankenbok to the world and people had
said we should keep going cause our sound was interesting," said Adam.
Ironically, while mixing their creation Frankenbok stumbled across their
future drummer Mick Morley, who crazily enough, lived across the road.
"He took a copy of the CD and did his homework," chuckled Glynn. "When
he came back he blew us away, he could basically pull it all off."
Currently working on and perfecting their future release, Frankenbok
demonstrate a balanced outfit filled with budding young talent. "We
don't claim to be the greatest band in the world, but we are serious
about what we are doing," said Glynn.
Unfortunately the guys are finding it increasingly difficult to display
their musical intentions. "We were pretty stoked to get a gig at the
Metro and some pubs have metal nights, but a lot of up market places
won't have a bar of us unless we bring a huge following."
Death metal with a twist? "We tried to capture the brutality of heavy
music," explained Glynn. "But at the same time we don't take ourselves
too seriously. We're not big muscly men with tats that sort of kick the
shit out of everybody."
