The Major and Polly

I have this little speech prepared that only works after you say, oh Major, I thought I'd never see you again.

Major John D. McGillis was not prepared for what happened the day that Polly Cooper walked into his office. She was a newsreporter, out to do a story on a "real" marine. She provoked him with accusations of liking war and he countered back with the answer of peace offensive. When she blew the facts out of poportation, the marine corps advanced and tried to get her fired. In the middle of the battle, Major MacGillis and Polly Cooper fell in love.
But that's not where the battle ended. It seemed that not only did the Major lose his heart to a liberal who believed in everything he didn't, she also had three daughters. And they had their own opinion about the Major. Elizabeth, Robin, and Casey weren't about to let the Major join ranks until he passed muster.
