In Loving Memory
Of Family And Friends

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that too.

We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name.

Now...all we have are memories,
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we will never part.

God has you in His keeping...
We have you in our hearts.

Beyond the gate
will peace await
And joy to fill each heart.
A fragrant bower every hour
And love that never parts.

A Word Of Comfort

There is a dawn more enduring than sunrise...
There is a blossoming more beautiful than spring...
It's called Eternity.
--Jessica St. James

at church with you, standing aound
the piano with your arm around me-

favorite song and that was the way you were
living--well Sweet Brother-you were so right-

One day at a time-never missing an opportunity
to express our love for each other-
I've always wished I had hugged you one more
time and a little longer that last night

A candle for Pastor Ortiz Pastor Carlos Ortiz-what a terrible
shock to pick up the newspaper this morning
and read about your death.
how the hearts of your entire family,
your congregation, and this town where
you were so well known-are hurting.
You spent your life in the best way possible,
leading others to the Lord,
and though you will be terribly missed by all
who knew you-our loss is Heavens gain.
Walk with the Lord, as you did on this earth,
and know your memory will remain alive
in the hearts of this community!

I FOUND A PENNY TODAY,JUST LAYING ON THE GROUND
BUT IT'S NOT JUST A PENNY, THIS LITTLE COIN I'VE FOUND
FOUND PENNIES FROM HEAVEN,THAT'S WHAT MY GRANDPA TOLD ME

HE SAID WHEN AN ANGEL MISSES YOU,THEY TOSS A PENNY DOWN
SOMETIMES JUST TO CHEER YOU UP,
AND MAKE A SMILE OUT OF A FROWN

SO DON'T PASS BY THAT PENNY WHEN YOUR FEELING BLUE
IT MAY BE A PENNY FROM HEAVEN THAT BRADY TOSSED TO YOU

A candle for Bubba Bubba...died at nine years old.
Killed by a drunk driver...
part of his sunday school book found
in the floor board of the mangled car.
He had been studying his sunday school lesson
for the next day.

but there was no life left in him...
unsuspecting, young and innocent...
now with Jesus!!
We will always remember you Bubba!

A candle for Dad Dad, Mom, Donnie
DAD:-you were such a happy person-
you went to bed whistling, you woke up whistling-
you loved everyone, Enemies-as far as I know-
you had none! You didn,t know what the word
"Prejudice"-meant & oh how you loved MOM
and how proud you were of all your children-
including twin boys and twin girls-
the world could learn from you DAD-
You loved "Everyone"!

A candle for Mom MOM:The thing I remember most about you was your
"unselfishness"-I don,t ever remembering
you buying anything for yourself-
you spent every penny you got on Jean
and myself-you cooked and cleaned
for all six of your children,
plus three boys from other families
and at times-all of the "in-laws"!
I never heard you complain--
oh you were a "worrier"-but that was only
because you loved us so much &
you made sure we knew it!

A candle for Donnie DONNIE_-The thing I remember most about you
was the good care you took of our Mom
after she became ill-I always breathed a sigh !
of relief when she was with you because
I knew she was safe--
We buried her on a Friday morning-
yet not one of us ever dreamed that
just one day later-you would be gone too-
only 42 years old-too ill to live-too young to die-
I believe you knew-on the way home from the funeral
you let us know exactly what you wanted to be buried in,
you wanted a graveside service-just like Moms-
and you wanted to be buried in your "Cowboy Boots"--
all your wishes were granted.
I know the three of you are together-
and one day-we will all walk together-
on streets of gold, in that beautiful place called "Heaven"--
where the "Roses Never Fade"--
until then-you three are forever-in my heart!

Jesus, and her brother who had gone on before her,
"Twin Sister" of JoAnn Tamez-,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincente Tamez-
loving member of Spirit of Praise Church-

A candle for John
JOHN BYRUM:
I will never forget the night that you accepted Jesus
as your Lord And Saviour!
You only had nine days left on this earth--
I,m sure that is the only reason God placed me
in that Nursing Home where you were--
just so you could know about Him
and know Him as Lord and Saviour.

You said you had been a shrimper all your life
and your sins were too many to be forgiven--
but in His Grace-you read from Gods word-
that "anyone" who called upon the name
of the Lord-would be saved-
and that is exactly what you did-
afterwards you were lit up like a light bulb-
telling anyone who would listen -
about Jesus-nine short days later-
you went to live with Jesus-

what an honor and a privilege to have
been your nurse and the one God allowed
to lead you to him-
I will never forget you John,
and you will be one of the first
I look up-when I get to Heaven!
-Joan Collins Kassel
A candle for James
James Kelly,
Collapsed running around the football field during practice-
hospitalized with diagnosis of an inoperable aneurysm-
passed away shortly after, at home, nothing could be done.
James, you were just a teenager-to all you left behind,
it seemed like a cruel joke-
but God never makes mistakes-
he must have roamed the earth-
looking for a nice young man to fill an empty spot in Heaven--
the cream of the crop, and he found "YOU!

There wasn't a dry eye in the service
held for you but we know the angels were
rejoicing in Heaven-at your homecoming!

"NEVER FORGOTTEN"
Copyright © Colleen Pivoroff

Permission to use poem was granted to Alexis for her beloved Dad.
Daughter of dear Kathi

I haven't forgotten you, Dad, though it may appear that way.
My exterior is a clever mask that I've learned to wear each day.
It's a costume of false happiness and apparent self-control.
But the threaded seams are wearing thin, and have taken a harsh toll.

I've learned to speak of you now with a smile upon my face.
It helps to hide the turmoil that no one can erase.
I know I fool a lot of people, but the truth is not well known.
For only you can see me cry when I sit in the dark alone.
