IN THE DINER SATURDAY NIGHT 7:50 PM

Angela and CJ are sitting in the dining area of the restaurant.  Kimble can see them from the kitchen as he’s doing the last bit of cleaning up for the day.  They are sitting there eating what Angela prepared and they are smiling and laughing with one another.  Angela then gets up and comes into the kitchen.  "Bill, thank you so much for doing the cleaning up while I'm out there having fun with CJ. I'm definitely paying you extra tonight!"

Kimble laughs and says, "It's not necessary, I was just finishing up my job for the day.  Besides, you also let me eat the food you prepared as well.  I just hope CJ is OK with me being in here."

"Oh don't worry about CJ.  He's feeling much better now that I'm outing us.  He's waving at everybody who walks past the window, including my father in law.  Hey, can I impose on you for one more favor?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Joshua called me earlier and said Grandma made a special dessert and he wanted to be here for all of us to eat it.  Will you walk over to my parents house and get him and the dessert?  You remember where their house is don't you?  It's just three blocks to your right."

"Not a problem Angela.  I'll be right back."

8:05 ANGELA'S PARENT'S HOUSE

Kimble knocks on the back door and Angela's mother answers it.  "Bill, come on in.  Joshua's all excited to eat dessert at the diner with Angela and CJ."

"I helped make the lemon meringue pie!"

"Really?" Kimble says as he walks into the kitchen.  He sees the TV set on in the living room with the remote sitting on the kitchen table.

"Oh yes, he put the eggs in."

"That's the most important ingredient Joshua."  Joshua smiles.

"OK Joshua now let's go get your coat and you can say goodbye to Grandpa."  She turns to Kimble and says, "He was watching TV but all of a sudden, he was hit with a migraine headache.  It happens every so often."  Angela's mother and Joshua leave the room.

Kimble looks at the TV and sees John Walsh on America's Most Wanted say, "And tonight we will profile a case we have not looked at in awhile.  Dr. Richard Kimble is still a fugitive on the run but now with Special Agent Kari Holmes on the taskforce..."  Kimble grabs the remote and immediately shuts the TV off.

Kimble is in shock.  "That SOB did it!"  He whispers to himself.

Joshua comes back into the kitchen with Angela's mother and she says, "Oh, I'm glad you turned off the TV, the background noise does nothing for my husband's headaches and I'm finding there's not a whole lot on TV anymore that I really want to watch.  Here's the pie, enjoy yourselves!"  Kimble takes the pie, breathing a sigh of relief as he walks out of the house.

INSIDE THE DINER

Angela picks up the dishes and walks out to the kitchen with them.  CJ walks to the counter and picks up the remote and turns on the TV and is astonished to see Kimble's face with John Walsh saying, "This is what wife murderer Dr. Richard Kimble looks like."

All of a sudden Angela is in front of him, she picks up the remote, holds it over her head and turns off the TV.  "Angela, I was watching that."

"CJ, I didn't ask you to dinner so you could watch TV."

He grabs the remote and turns it on again, only to hear John Walsh say, "If you have any information, please call our toll free number or contact the Chicago Fugitive Task Force Division."  Angela shuts the TV off again.

CJ's eyes get wide and he says, "Angela, I think your cook is Wanted by the law."

Angela raises her eyebrows and says, "CJ, are you crazy?  Did they say Bill Gates is Wanted?"

"No, I was so shocked to see his face, I didn't catch his name, but he's a doctor and he murdered his wife!"

"My cook, who is a perfect gentleman, is a doctor and a murderer?  Come on CJ, you're letting your jealousy get the better of you.  I'll bet the guy doesn't even know how to take a pulse.  What's next?  You gonna tell me you saw ET hitchhiking?"

"Angela, this isn't funny.  I'm sure it was him."

At that moment the back door in the kitchen opens and Kimble and Joshua are heard coming in.  Angela looks at CJ and says, "Please CJ, don't do anything to embarrass me...We're out here."  She calls out to the kitchen.

Kimble walks in with the pie and sees the remote on the counter.  He looks up to the TV and is relieved to see that it's not on.  CJ notices Kimble look at the remote and then the TV.  Joshua says, "Can we have some pie now?"

"Why not.  Bill will you take it into the kitchen and cut it up for us?  Joshua why don't you help him serve it."  Kimble and Joshua walk back into the kitchen.  CJ looks like he's going to say something to Angela but she cuts him off by saying, "Not a word CJ."

Kimble rummages through a drawer looking for a pie server with his back to Joshua.  Kimble doesn't see that that Joshua has grabbed a piece of fancy bread and put it in his mouth.  All of a sudden he hears Joshua say, "Mr. Gates?  I don’t feel good.”

Kimble turns around and sees Joshua drop the bread and fall to the floor gasping for breath.  He runs up to him and checks his airway.  He screams, “Angela!  Joshua’s gone into anaphylactic shock!”

Angela and CJ both come running into the kitchen.  “OH MY GOD!”  Angela screams.

“Do you have epinephrine here?!”

Angela crying says, “It’s at home!  Five miles away!”

Kimble is holding Joshua and says, “Angela you know he can't wait that long.  Where's the pharmacy or doctor's office?”

CJ yells, “The doctor's office is just kitty-corner from here, follow me!”  Kimble scoops up Joshua and the three of them run out of the restaurant to the doctor’s office.

DOCTOR’S OFFICE

The office is closed.  CJ breaks the window on the door, reaches in, opens up the door and turns on the light.  The three of them run into the examining room.  Kimble searches for the epinephrine shot.  He yells to Angela and CJ, “Get his jeans off!”  Angela and CJ comply with the request.  Kimble finds the prepared syringe.  He takes the cap off and injects Joshua in the thigh.  He then rubs the area for about 10-15 seconds.

Kimble very gently says, “Come on Joshua, start breathing normally.  Don’t make me do an emergency tracheotomy.”  As if on cue, Joshua’s breathing becomes more normal.  Everyone breathes a sigh of relief.  Kimble takes Joshua's pulse and CJ notices and gives a subtle nod to Angela.  She ignores the significance.

Angela very mechanically puts Joshua’s jeans back on him.  She leans down and hugs her son between her tears.

A voice from the outside breaks the silence and says,  “What’s going on in here?!”  They all look and see Hal.  He looks at Kimble and says, "Who are you?"

Angela replies defiantly, "This is my new cook Hal.  His name is Bill Gates."  Hal raises his eyebrows at the name.  "Bill, this is Joshua's grandfather, my father in law, Police Chief Hal Mason."  Angela starts to explain, “Look, Joshua had an allergic reaction over at the restaurant.  We needed epinephrine.  There was no time to call the doctor.”

Hal looks at Kimble very suspiciously and says, “There’s a broken window and you took some epinephrine.  Did you steal any other drugs?”

Angela gets furious and says, “Look, if you want to press charges of breaking and entering, then you’ll have to arrest CJ.  He's the one who broke the window.  You should be thanking Bill, he saved your grandson’s life.”

Hal looks at CJ and says, "Did you break the window?"

CJ nods and says, "Yes, but it was to save Joshua."

Before Hal can say anything, Angela says, “Hal, whatever damages have been done I will pay for them."

Hal walks up to Kimble and says, “Where did a cook and busboy get medical training?”

“I was a medic in the army.”

"Really?  Where exactly did you train at?  I spent a good many years in the army myself."

"Oh Hal, knock it off!  You're not putting my cook through the third degree.  Come on everybody let's go.  Oh and Hal, I know you were on your way to the bar, so please explain the damage to Dr. Daniels and let him know I'll pay for it, that is assuming he's sober enough to hear the explanation from you."

Kimble looks at Angela strangely for that last comment as she walks out with Joshua in her arms and with CJ and Kimble following.

THE NEXT MORNING IN ANGELA'S KITCHEN

Angela is on the phone and says, "CJ, I'm not having this conversation.  You know, I was hoping the three of us could do something today since it's Sunday and we're both closed but if you're going to obsess over Bill, then I don't want to hear any of it...Goodbye CJ, call me when you're thinking more clearly."  She hangs up.

Kimble knocks on the back door and Angela opens it.  "Bill, come on in and have some breakfast."

"Ah no, I really can't stay, I just wanted to see how Joshua's feeling."

"He's doing fine.  He's upstairs taking a bath as we speak."

"You actually got him to willingly do that?"

"Oh yes, he's learned that if he wants to do certain things, he's got do other things first.  Please sit down though and have some pancakes."  She puts the plate in front of him and realizing she won't take no for an answer, he complies.

"These smell great."  He starts to put syrup on them.

Angela sits down with him and says, "Bill, I didn't have a chance to say this last night but, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I wish there was some way that I could properly pay you back for saving Joshua.”

Kimble smiles and says very softly, “You just did.  Joshua recovering is all the thanks I need.”

“Bill, I also didn't have a chance to ask, but what did he put in his mouth?”

“As near as I could tell, he grabbed a piece of that coconut bread that you got for you and CJ.”

Angela very puzzled says, “Coconut bread?  I knew he was allergic to nuts but I never considered coconut as an actual nut.  I’ve never been that crazy for coconut so I don’t typically buy it.”

“Angela, some people who have allergies to nuts can also be allergic to coconut as well.  It’s kind of rare, but it does happen.  Going into shock is more common in people who suffer from asthma as well.”

“I know, Randy also suffered from allergies and asthma so he had to be very careful of what he ate.”  All of a sudden Angela gets an inquisitive look on her face.

Kimble doesn’t take much notice as he says, “Look Angela, you’ve been very kind but I’m going to have to leave tomorrow.  I've made more than enough money at your place so I can keep moving.  You're father in law looked like he wanted to press charges against me for breaking and entering.  Pardon me for saying this but he didn't appear that concerned for Joshua either.”

“Hal has never been kind, especially to me.  I’m that not so bright blond his son married.  He holds dyslexia against me among other things.  He’s kind of like JR Ewing.  He doesn’t really like anyone.  But Bill, don’t leave yet and don't worry about Hal, he just likes to intimidate people.  I guaranty you, right now, you're less than an insect to him.  There's something I'd like you to look at before you leave but I'll have to get it first and that's got to be tomorrow when Olivia's around."

“What?”

"My husband's police file on his supposed murder.  Now that I know Joshua is allergic to coconut bread, I think there's a chance that Randy may have had the same reaction.  Edna at the bakery testified that Randy came in on the day he died and bought some because he'd been hearing everbody rave about it.  Please Bill, since I know you've had medical training, I'd like you to look at the Randy's autopsy report.  If you can tell whether or not that drunk Dr. Daniels screwed up, my brother just might be able to get out of prison a lot sooner!”

Kimble, looking like he's deeply contemplating something finally says, "OK Angela, if there's a chance I can help your brother, I'll stay one more day."

MONDAY MORNING AT THE ROSWELL POLICE DEPT.

CJ is sitting in Chief Mason's office.  Hal says, "So Callahan, you think there is a convicted murderer working in Angela's diner, but you don't remember his name because you only saw the show for less than thirty seconds?"

"Yes, that's it."  CJ looks embarrassed.

Hal, looking at CJ with irritation says, "Callahan, nothing would give me more pleasure than to come up with a reason to charge Angela with aiding and abetting a criminal and thus custody of Joshua would fall to me, but I can't go in and arrest someone when you can't positively identify him.  Did you look at the Wanted posters?"

"Yes, and he wasn't there and he wasn't on the FBI.gov's ten most wanted list either.  I also went into America's Most Wanted's website and the website is currently down.  You know, I can't believe you would turn this around on Angela and want to take her son away from her.  I told you about this because I'm scared for Angela and Joshua, but if your only motive is to hurt her then forget I ever said anything."

"I know you two are dating.  You'd like nothing better than to move in where my son left off and then you'd be set quite well financially wouldn't you?"

"You know, you're right.  I only saw the show for thirty seconds.  I must be mistaken."  He gets up and walks out with a look of disgust on his face.

He walks out the door as Olivia is walking in, she says, "CJ what are you doing here?"

"Nothing, it was a mistake.  See you later Olivia."  He walks out and drives off in his pickup.

Hal then walks out of his office toward the door and says, "Olivia, I'll be at Angela's diner if anyone needs me."  He exits.

THIRTY MINUTES LATER

Angela walks in and approaches Olivia.  There are other people in the office but no one appears to be concerned that Angela is there.  Olivia quietly says, “Angela, what are you doing here in the middle of the breakfast shift?"

Angela says, “Olivia, Hal is at the diner and I told Bill to take his time on preparing his food.  I faked that we ran out of half and half so I left to get some.  Now I need everything pertaining to my husband’s case that’s in this office.  I’ve got an appointment with an attorney about an appeal.”

“Angela, you know I want nothing more than to clear John, but if my uncle finds out, I could get into a lot of trouble.”

AT THE DINER

Hal is sitting at the counter by himself.  There are a few people in the diner at tables.  Kimble walks out of the kitchen and gives him his breakfast.  "Thanks, Bill is it?"  He takes a bite of his eggs.

Kimble trying to keep his head down says, "Yeah."  He turns to walk back into the kitchen.

Hal bumps his knife and it falls to the floor.  "Well, I'm clumsy today.  Can you give me a new knife Bill?"

Kimble stops, grabs another knife from behind the counter, lays it on Hal's napkin and says, "Here you go."

"So where were you stationed when you were in the army?"

Kimble hesitates for a moment and then says, "Fort Lewis, Tacoma Washington.  I've got to get back into the kitchen."  He turns away.

"How long were you in the army?"

Kimble stops with his back to him.  "Just four years."

"Do you always answer with your back to people?"

Kimble turns around but still avoiding eye contact.  "Is there anything else I can get you?"

"No, I was just making conversation.  I like to get to know people who come to Roswell.  So I take it the army wasn't a good fit with you?  Where are you from originally?"

"Philadelphia."

"But I take it you haven't lived there in quite some time?"

"No, I haven't.  Now if you'll excuse me."

"Why is a medic working as a cook?"

Kimble is silent for a moment and then says, "Being a medic wasn't a good fit either."  Kimble doesn't wait for any response and walks back into the kitchen.

AT THE POLICE STATION

“Olivia, I have a theory that might just clear John, but I need to see the file.  That guy Bill I’ve got working for me has had medical training and I want him to look at Randy’s autopsy report because I'm hoping he'll see something that will help with John's appeal.”

Olivia’s demeanor changes.  She stands up and says, “Well, why didn’t you say so to begin with?”  She goes into the room in the back.

AT THE DINER

Kimble looks out from the kitchen and sees Hal leaving.  He walks out to the counter to find more than enough money to pay for breakfast.  He starts to clear away the dishes and he walks around to the customer side of the counter and looks on the floor to find no knife that was dropped.  He looks on the counter and the knife that is there has leftover jam on it and the piece of toast is half eaten.  He gets an inquisitive look on his face when a voice from behind him says, "Hey, can we get some more coffee here?"

Kimble turns and says, "Sure, I'll go get it."  He walks behind the counter and gets the coffee but the look on his face indicates his mind is thinking about something else.

AT THE POLICE STATION

Olivia walks out and says quietly, “Here you go.”  She discreetly hands the file to Angela and she promptly stuffs it into her very big bag that's doubling for a purse.

“Thanks, Olivia!  You’re a gem!”

Angela starts to walk away when Olivia says, "Angela wait, have you spoken with CJ today?"

"No why?"

"He was in here this morning talking to Uncle Hal."

Angela's eyes get wide and she says, "Oh my God and I left Hal alone at the diner with Bill!"

"Angela is Bill in some kind of trouble?"

Angela looks out the window and sees Hal pull up without Kimble in tow.  "Olivia if Hal tells you anything about Bill, please tell me."

"You've got it."

Hal walks in and says, “Angela, what are you doing here?  We don't exactly sell half and half.  And are the stories true?  How long have you and that Callahan guy been seeing each other?”

“You're right, you don't sell half and half.  I guess I made a wrong turn, so I stopped by to see Olivia.  Yes, I’m dating CJ, my very poor employee!  Deal with it,Hal!  If you can’t, I really don't care!”

“I wonder, is the wrong sibling in prison?  CJ did get divorced right around the time of Randy’s death!”

Angela looks at Hal with raw hatred.  “I am not going to dignify that statement with an answer!”

Hal moves and Angela walks out.  He walks toward the wall with the Wanted posters.  Olivia, shocked says, “Uncle Hal, how could you say that to Angela?  She was devastated when Randy died.”

Hal ignores her question and asks, “Olivia, are these all of the new posters that we got a few days ago?"

Olivia shakes her head.  “Yes, it's all of them."

“Do you ever watch America's Most Wanted?"

“No Uncle Hal. Why?”

“Last night, that guy Angela’s got working for her, managed to save Joshua’s life.  He claimed to have been a medic in the army but Callahan was pretty insistent that he saw the guy's face on America's Most Wanted.  Get this, the guy's a doctor who murdered his wife.  Now I initially wasn't taking Callahan seriously but after questioning this cook Bill Gates, he was pretty vague about his service in the army and about everything else in general."

Olivia looks puzzled and says, “That seems hard to believe.  What are you going to do?”

Hal removes a bag from his pocket that has a butter knife in it.  “Tag this bag with a rush/priority job on these prints.  I want the results by tonight.  It would be just like Angela to give aid and comfort to a murderer.  After all, it runs in the family.”  Olivia looks angry.

“You know Uncle Hal, Angela is meeting with an attorney to start working on an appeal for John.”

“And it will go nowhere Olivia.  I’m sorry you’re boyfriend turned out to be a murderer, but that’s what happens when you hang out with white trash!  I’m also sorry that they only nailed him for manslaughter.  Now get those prints to the lab on a rush job!”  He starts to walk away.

“Uncle Hal?  Is there anyone in Roswell who is not white trash?”

“Just get those prints checked immediately!”  He walks into his office and shuts the door.

Olivia looks at the butter knife that’s been bagged and she proceeds to fill out the request.  She says, “Well,Uncle Hal, I think you’re just going to have to wait on these prints.”  She does not fill in the rush and priority boxes.  She fills it in for the standard turn around time of 24-48 hours.  “I don’t care if that guy is Jack the Ripper, if he can help John, then he’s OK by me.”  She smiles in satisfaction.

30 MINUTES LATER IN THE DINER

The place is busy.  Angela is serving customers when Olivia walks in.  Angela approaches her and says, “Olivia, what are you doing here?”

“Angela, can we talk in your office?  There’s something that you need to know.”  They walk into the office and Kimble notices as he's serving breakfast to someone.

Five minutes later, Angela and Olivia emerge from the office.  "Olivia, keep the customers happy out here."  Olivia nods.

Angela walks into the kitchen.  She looks anxious and Kimble says, “Angela what’s wrong?”

She points to Olivia and says, “Olivia told me that Hal suspects that I took the file and was starting to look through the file cabinet when she ran out of there.  I’m afraid he may come around any minute and demand it back, so I’d like us to take a look at it right now here in the kitchen.”

Kimble nods and says, “OK.”  They both sit down at the counter in the kitchen.

Angela opens the file as she and Kimble start looking at it.  "This report indicates that they went to the garage after they went to the bakery.  What happened when they got to the garage?”

“They got there and that’s when the argument started.”

“It must have been over something pretty important.”

“Actually, it wasn’t."  She looks embarrassed to say it but then says, "They were arguing over who the best quarterbacks in the NFL had been.  Like John would actually push Randy over the issue of Bart Starr vs. Joe Montana as the all time great quarterback."

Kimble raises his eyebrows and says, “Well, you might be surprised at the controversy that could stir.  I’m assuming that’s the reason they prosecuted him for manslaughter as opposed to murder?”  Angela nods affirmatively.  “So Angela, let's look at that autopsy report.”  He looks out to the restaurant and sees Olivia serving coffee and doing her best to keep the customers who haven't gotten their breakfast yet happy.

Angela hands the report to Kimble and says, “Bill, John swore Randy was alive and yelling at him when he left the garage, but what if Randy ate that coconut bread and had the same reaction as Joshua after John left?”

Kimble taking all of this in says, “It’s a good possibility.  Let’s take a look at the crime scene photos in addition to the autopsy report.”

They take out all of the photos.  Kimble is immediately struck by something.  “Angela, take a look at Randy’s mouth.  Do you see a blue color to it?”

“Yes, is that something to question?”

“The blue indicates oxygen deprivation.  Saturday night Joshua fell backwards when he started to lose the ability to breathe.  These photos reflect that Randy fell backwards.  Let's see exactly what the autopsy shows.”  Kimble begins to read the report.  He looks surprised and says, “Angela, I don't see that any internal tests were done here.  All Dr. Daniels reported on was the head injury.  I can’t make a determination if the head injury is what actually killed him or the shock, but just from looking at the photos, to me it looks like Randy went into shock, fell backwards into the shelves and then the tools fell on him.”

Angela shakes her head.  “I knew that defense lawyer was worthless, but John insisted on keeping him.  As for Dr. Daniels, I want to report him for not doing his job, obviously he’d been drinking the scotch when he did that autopsy.  I hope for Hal’s sake that he’s not mixed up in this.”

“Well now I understand why you didn't feel that bad about breaking into Dr. Daniels office, but Angela, you need to contact that new attorney and have him obtain a court order to exhume your husband’s body.  An autopsy needs to be done by an official coroner to determine the exact cause of death.”

“I’m calling him right now!  Go tell Olivia she can leave.”  Kimble walks out front to Olivia and is very surprised when she practically runs out of the diner.

THIRTY MINUTES LATER

Kimble is out front at the cash register taking care of the last two customers, but making sure he doesn't make eye contact with either of them when Angela walks out of the kitchen and puts the closed sign up.  The last two customers from breakfast exit.

Kimble says, "Angela, what's going on?"

"The new attorney is getting a court order today to have Randy's body exhumed.  I need to be available when he gets here and I can't have the restaurant distracting me especially when Hal finds out as I know there will be fireworks when they start digging up the grave."

Kimble gets a strained look on his face and says, "Really?"  At that moment CJ walks into the diner.  "Hi CJ, what brings you here?”

“Angela just called and asked me to come over.”

Angela says, “CJ, would you come into my office?  There’s something I’d like you to do for me.”

CJ looking confused walks into the office.  Angela grabs him and pulls him way back into the corner.

Ten minutes later, out in the diner, Kimble is cleaning the counter when he hears CJ exclaim, “You want me to what?!”  Kimble gets a look of puzzlement on his face.

Kimble peaks inside the office to see Angela and CJ in the corner.  They both look uneasy.  “Is everything OK?”

Angela says, “Yeah, we’re fine Bill.  I’m just asking CJ to do me a favor and you'd think I were asking him to move a mountain!"  CJ smiles a strained smile.

Kimble nods and then walks back out to the dining area.

Angela turns and slaps CJ across the face.  CJ very shocked says,  "Angela, that hurt!"

"You deserve far more with what you set into motion!"

"I told Hal because I was scared for yours and Joshua's safety.  I didn't think he'd turn it into some sick twisted plot against you, but Angela, I can't do what you're asking me to do."

“CJ you can and you will or so help me we are finished as of right now.  The attorney is going to get Randy’s body exhumed today.  Once that happens, Hal will realize that I took the file and showed it to my army medic cook alias the doctor wife murderer who analyzed it and he will stick to him like a fly to flypaper.  He may even arrest him on suspicion before he gets the prints back from the lab.  Now I won’t allow that to happen.  Not again!”

“Angela, you’re asking me to hang out with a wanted fugitive!”

“CJ, he didn't kill his wife, the one armed man killed his wife.  I know it sounds crazy, but if you can believe that aliens landed here in 1947, then I think you can believe this.  Would you make up a ridiculous sounding story about a one armed man if you had wanted to kill your ex-wife Susan?"

CJ looking very embarrassed says, "OK, I see your point about the one armed man, but Angela, I've never actually admitted that I believe in the conspiracy about aliens and..."

"No, you just buy every publication on it and look at every website.  Next time you want to go websurfing, try dr-richard-kimble.com."

"OK Angela, but maybe we should just go out there and be honest with him."

“Yeah right CJ, I’m gonna go out there and say, ‘Hey Dr. Kimble, I know who you are.’  And then he’ll make a mad dash for the door and when Hal realizes that he’s run, his suspicions will be confirmed and he’ll be on the phone to the state police, the press and anyone else he can think of.  He’ll probably then arrest Olivia and me for helping him!"

CJ is silent for a moment and then says, “What do you want me to do with him in addition to Home Depot?”

“I don’t know.  Just make sure you don’t bring him back here until it’s way too late for Hal to want to do anything.  You love baseball CJ, I'm sure he knows about baseball, after all, a baseball bat was the murder weapon!"  CJ’s eyes get wide.  “OK, I guess I just gave away too much information.”

They walk out into the dining area.  Angela smiles and says, “Bill, will you go to Las Cruces with CJ and help him get some things that I need from Home Depot?  I know it's a long drive but it's the closest Home Depot to us and that place always has everything.  I’m building a larger covered back porch and I need the supplies.  CJ has the list.  We were going to do it on Sunday but today seems like a better day since I’m closed anyway due to the lawyer coming and all.”

Kimble seeing a chance to get out of town for awhile and out of the eye of the police chief says, “Sure, I’d be glad to help you out if CJ doesn't mind.”

CJ smiles tentatively at Angela and puts on a baseball cap that Kimble notices.  "Not at all Bill, I really think we got off on the wrong foot.  I'm sorry.  I'd like the company."

Kimble says, “OK then."  They start to walk out when Kimble asks, "So is Oakland your favorite team?”

CJ is puzzled and then takes off the cap and sees that it says “A’s” on it.  “No, I just like to collect caps.  My favorite team is actually the Whitesox.”  Kimble stops suddenly.  CJ looks at Angela and she looks at him with disdain.  CJ laughs slightly and says, “Did I say the Whitesox?  No, I know nothing about Chicago.  Nothing!  What I meant to say was the Redsox.  I love the Boston Redsox!  What do you say we get out of here Bill?”

They walk out as Kimble looks at Angela in puzzlement and she smiles and says, “Have a good time.”  They exit.  Angela looks upwards and says, “Please God, don’t let CJ mess this up!”
