Thanks to Lady Jupiter (LadyJupiter@SailorJupiter.com) as I was inspired to
write this series after misinterpreting her "Remember When?" prologue and
reading her "Rainy Day Man Remix" story. My other fic "Let The Punishment
Be The Crime" had similar inspiration, but this is a derivative of it.

Like Lady Jupiter, I'm a huge Jupiter fan. That will become obvious as you
read this and other stories by me, they are all Lita-centric. I will be
using the NA dubbed named, because that's the way I prefer it!

Also, this fic features the Scouts and Ken in Lady Jupiter's "Jupiter
Knight" World where Ken is Lita's protector, Jupiter Knight. I have been
given permission to do so. Also, it takes place before her "Remember When?"
series.

My other/future fanfics can be found at my "Writing" page at
http://www.muskoka.net/~summerton/writing.html and probably anywhere else
you got this fic from.

If you're reading this, Part Five, you had better know what happens in Parts
One through Four or you'll be really confused. To avoid confusing myself I
refer to Ken (in Lita) as 'Lita' and Lita (in Ken) as 'Ken' as well as 'she'
and 'he' respectively. However, the Jupiter Knight is he and Sailor Jupiter
is she, even though JK is still Ken in Lita and SJ is still Lita in Ken.
With that said, everything should be crystal clear! :)

Divided Destiny Part Five - Struggling Powers
by Scott "Cyclops" Summerton
Last Revised Thursday March 18th, 1999
---------------

Jupiter Knight, deep within a prickly bush after the massive energy
burst from the giant toilet, which is actually some sort of shapeshifter, was
awoken by the sound of someone screaming. Strangely enough, waking up in a
park bush isn't the weirdest thing to happen to Jupiter Knight lately, since
only recently he and Sailor Jupiter had somehow switched bodies. Jupiter
Knight is actually Lita stuck within her boyfriend Ken's body, whereas Ken is
stuck within her's as Sailor Jupiter. This is only known by their fellow
Sailor Scouts and cat guardians, yet that is only part of the problem, since
Ken and Lita are also mentally adapting to their new bodies at an alarming
rate.

Jupiter Knight crawled out of the bush and began to look for whomever
was screaming. He didn't have to look very far however, for Tuxedo Mask,
perched on a branch high in a tree was screaming "NOOOOOOOO!" at the top of
his lungs. But why? Jupiter Knight started towards the base of the tree,
and as he got closer he began to realize why Tuxedo Mask was screaming...

Sailor Moon was there, unconscious, a trail of blood escaping from
under her tiara and running down her forehead.

Jupiter Knight ran as fast as possible towards the unconscious body
and kneeled beside her, quickly followed by Tuxedo Mask's eventually descent
from the tree. Upon closer inspection, Jupiter Knight noticed that a small
dent in Sailor Moon's tiara could be seen at the origin of the blood trail,
while a large rock beside her had a slight scraping of gold on one of its
jagged edges.

Lita, though trapped within the body of Jupiter Knight, still had a
quite a bit of her old female self inside, and the sight of one of her best
friends in this state was almost overwhelming. "Sailor Moon! Can you hear
me?" No answer. Screw secrecy. "Serena, wake up, please! It's me! Lita!
Please, wake up!"

Tuxedo Mask got to his knees as well taking Sailor Moon's head and
shoulders in his arms. "Serena! Please, wake up!"

Jupiter Knight was startled when he felt a hand on his shoulder, it
was Sailor Jupiter.

	"What happened, is she alright?"

"I... we don't know... she hit her head... that rock..."

"Hey hey, calm down, come here," Sailor Jupiter, realizing just how
hysterical Jupiter Knight had become, opened her arms motioning for a hug and
Jupiter Knight rested his hea on her shoulder.

Sailor Mercury suddenly appeared and began assisting in the revival
of Serena, who had now reverted out of her sailor outfit and back into her
usual Friday-after-school clothes. Tuxedo Mask had reverted back to Darien
by now, and after gathering all the data she could about the injury, Sailor
Mercury prepared to change back to Amy as well.

Realizing that Darien would be too upset to answer very coherently,
Sailor Mercury looked to the Jupiters, and her computer automatically scanned
some strange readings. "Not the priority right now," she thought, as she
stored the data and changed back to Amy. "Her breathing's normal, but Lita,
Ken, I need to know what happened."

Sailor Jupiter was quick to answer. "I don't know, when I got here I
saw Sailor Moon out cold while Jupiter Knight and Tuxedo Mask. They were
both pretty hysterical, I don't think either of them know exactly what
happened either."

Darien, attempting to calm himself down, began to speak. "She must
have hit her head on that rock. The last thing I remember was that huge
toilet hitting us with some energy attack, and then I woke up in the tree."

"Well, from what I can tell, she didn't hit her head that hard, but
the moon tiara, being as wide and as solid as it is, actually made it worse
by speading the impact. There would likely have been a huge gash if her
bare skin had hit that rock, but in preventing such a serious wound the
tiara may have caused her to receive a worse injury."

"Amy," Jupiter Knight was apparantly starting to calm down as well,
as both Jupiters had just changed back to their normal outfits. "How
serious is it?"

"Honestly, I can't be sure, but I think she may have a concussion.
At the very least she'll have a serious headache for a few days. At the
very worst..." Amy began to trail off as she turned back to the
still-unconcsious Serena. "What I worried about right now is getting her
awake again."

Shortly thereafter they were joined by Mina, Raye, Luna and Artemis,
all questioning Serena's condition. Darien had gone to call for an
ambulance and was to return with them when they arrived. So far he had not
done so.

"Luna, what are we going to do?" asked Mina. "We've been sick in the
past, but never had to deal with anything as serious as this. Serena's too
injured to become Sailor Moon now."

"It's even more serious then I thought." Amy sounded worried, which
in itself is a very bad thing. "She should have come to by now!"

"I had hoped this day would never come, but always feared it would.
From time to time some of you would be incapacitated, but Serena was always
lucky enough to avoid a serious injury. I should appoint an interim leader,
but under the circumstances that will have to wait until we know exactly what
Serena's condition is going to be. Until then I think we should..."

Luna quickly stopped talking as Darien returned with two ambulance
attendants carrying some equipment. Darien had apparantly told them all they
knew, as they unfolded a stretcher and placed it beside Serena, but before
placing her on it they checked her vital signs and secured neckbrace. One of
them mentioned "Breathing's normal, vitals are stable, neck is secured, let's
move her on three, two, one, lift."

The entire group followed the attendants to the nearby ambulance
where Serena, still unconscious, was loaded into the back, followed by one of
the attendants. The other attendant ran to the front and got in on the
driver's side. The rear attendant looked to the group and quickly said
"Only one of you can come with us, who's it going to be?" Without
hesitation Darien stepped forward, receiving no arguement from any of the
Scouts, but was followed by Luna who jumped up onto the prone Serena. The
attendant seemed hesitant at first, but when Luna crouched down he realized
that the cat was staying put. "We're from Center Hospital, it's only 3
blocks away, you can meet us there." With that, the attendant closed the
doors and the ambulance sped off towards the hospital.

	Silence. Horrible, never-ending, silence.

No one dared say a word in the waiting room at Center Hospital.
Darien hadn't found out much information, he wasn't even sure if he had been
told anything on the way there, both he and Luna were too concerned about
Serena. Her parents had arrived and were in the room with her.

Raye couldn't take it anymore, she had to say something. "Hey, do
any of you guys know what happened to that monster?"

Artemis looked as if he was about to answer, but stopped himself
before he could speak once he realized how public a place they were in. It
was clear enough to talk about Sailor Scout issues, but not clear enough for
cats to join in on it.

Amy answered instead. "I performed some scans after everyone left
and could find no trace of the polymorphic creature. Its Nega-Energy must be
masked whenever it changes shape." Amy lowered her head in disappointment.
"That means we can't track it at all."

Curiousity had overcome Mina. "So, how do we find it then?"

Silently, everyone looked at each other, unsure of how to hunt an
enemy which is impossible to find.

"THAT'S your plan? THAT'S your PLAN?! I could bend over right now
and pull a better plan out of my..."

	"DARIEN!"

Shocked not only by Luna's tone, but also his the current direction
of his own attitude, Darien sat down for the first time since they'd arrived
at Lita's appartment, nearly three long hours ago.

"I'm sorry Luna," he said. "I'm just a little tense right now."

"I fully understand that Darien, you and Serena are destined to be
together, only the events that transpire up until that point are impossible
to predict. Rest assured that we all are feeling similar pain, even guilt.
To varying degrees, we all have sworn to protect Sailor Moon, and therefore
Serena, and we should have been more aware of these possibilities." Luna
sighed and lowered her head. "We all want vengeance, but we have to be
rational about it as well!"

"Luna's right," chimed in Raye as she broke from her trance with the
Great Fire. "And so is Amy. I haven't been able to locate this creature
anywhere, it just blends into whatever environment it is surrounded by! I'd
have better luck finding a needle in a haystack, since it has its own
signature. In this case the creature would be exactly like all the hay
around it!"

"That might prove usefull as a way of defeating it. Lure it into an
area where it becomes something relatively harmless so that Sailor Moon can
use her Moon Sceptor and... Oh..." Amy lowered her eyes yet again and
turned to face 'Ken', who was staring at Lita's phone intently.
"Wait-a-minute," she thought aloud, pulling out her pocket computer. "If I
analyze the data I scanned earlier I might be able to..." Amy again trailed
off, lost in thought as she typed madly at the keypad.

"Ames? What data?" asked Mina. "Is it about Serena?"

	"Hmmm? No, but..."

Before Amy could finish, 'Lita' challenged her with another question.
"What were you going to say was the very worst thing that could happen to
Serena? You started to mention something earlier but never finished your
thought."

Amy stopped typing long enough to say only a couple of words, but
didn't raise her eyes to anyone in the room as she did so.

"Permenant amnesia, possibly even... brain damage."

Obviously shaken by Amy's statement, Luna still attempted to keep
everyone focused, regardless of how audibly shakey her own voice was. "Now
that's the WORST possibility remember. We must look to the positives
however, we HAVE to!"

"Positives?!" Mina was nearly in tears. "Where on Earth are the
positives in a situation where two friends swapped bodies while another could
have brain damage and not remember anything about herself?"

"Mina, calm down, please!" Luna was having a hard time holding back
her own tears, let alone those of the entire group.

"Excuse me, but I believe I may have found something pertaining to
switching back Ken and Lita."

For the first time since 'he' began staring at it, 'Ken' turned away
from the phone to face Amy.

She continued. "Have you two noticed how much you've been acting
like your original selves since we left the park? Ken took back the role of
the comforter when Lita broke down after seeing Serena injured, and even now
Lita is staring at the phone waiting for it to ring with news about Serena."
Amy paused for a moment. "Of course, I'm referring to your mental selves for
simplicity."

Raye cut right to the chase. "Why do you think this is happening
Amy?"

"Well, this is only a hunch, but I think it has to do with energy
attack that polymorph hit us with in the park. I think it was merely a
diversionary tactic to let it escape."

Darien sneered. "Seems all it ever does is hit and run..."

Not wanting to loose her train of thought, Amy continued. "According
to my scans, it didn't do anything to us except shoot us off in different
directions. When it hit Ken and Lita however, it extended the duration of
their transition by about 50%."

'Lita' cocked an eyebrow as 'her' interest was piqued. "So, what
exactly are you saying?"

"Thanks to that attack, you've gained an extra three and a half days
before you completely adapt mentally, and therefore your current phase has
been readjusted to compensate. With this new timeframe you've gone from the
memory conflict phase back to when you were just becoming physically
comfortable in your new bodies. If this all holds true, the rate at which
you will adapt will have slowed down as well."

'Ken' was thrilled with the news, but quickly put things into
perspective. "We have extra time? That means our switching back isn't top
priority anymore, and that is connected to finding this creature. What we
have to figure out now is what to do with Serena injured."

As if on cue, everybody, even Artemis, looked towards Luna.

"The first thing we have to do is accept the possibility that this
could end Serena's career as Sailor Moon. Personal feelings aside, that is
how I must deal with this difficult task. Even though the chances are
greatly in her favour, we must not exclude any scenarios. Until we learn
more details about her condition, a new team leader must be assigned." Luna
looked towards 'Ken' and 'Lita'. "I hope you understand that Sailor Jupiter
is immediately excluded due to your extrenuating circumstances."

"I wouldn't have any idea how to lead the Scouts properly anyway."
responded 'Lita'.

"And I literally don't have the body or powers necessary for the
job." replied 'Ken'.

"Then it is either Mercury, Venus or Mars who will be temporaty team
leader."

Unlike their debate after defeating the Doom Phantom in which each
Scout put forth reasons as to why they should be named team leader, this
discussion was the complete opposite.

Mina was the first to speak. "Don't pick me. My powers work better
in a surprise role, and they'd see my Crescent Beam coming if I was right up
front as leader. Maybe we should pick Amy, since she's so smart with her
computer, and was the second Scout here afterall."

Amy quickly made her own response. "I was the second Scout, but you
have the most expereince since you were Sailor V before Serena ever became
Sailor Moon. I'd be too busy to be leader. It would take valuable time away
from my computer, and we need the information from it to find out weaknesses.
I think Raye should be leader because of her natural intuition and mystical
knowledge."

Naturally, Raye made a swift rebuttal. "Those abilities are good
when we aren't on the battlefield, butin the heat of the moment I wouldn't
have as much time to call upon then as leader. Even though she can be pretty
headstrong at times, I think Lita's the best choice because of her fighting
abilities."

"And therefore everyone thinks someone who doesn't want to be leader
should be leader? This is getting us nowhere. That leaves us with no
one..." Luna paused for a few seconds in thought. "Of course. That leaves
us with one final choice for leader, and even though and it is someone who
has exactly the opposite qualities necessary for it, he was seemingly born
for the role."

With everyone staring at Luna in anticipation, Artemis was the only
one to notice Luna's teminology. "He?!"

Luna turned to Darien. "Does Tuxedo Mask accept the responsibilities
as interim leader of the Sailor Scouts?"

Speechless, Darien looked around the room, his eyes meeting with
those of each of his friends. He looked back to Luna. "How can I not? I do
so with great honour."

"Then I must ask you to transform into Tuxedo Mask before we can
continue." She turned from Darien and looked at everyone else. "We'll need
some room."

Curious as to what would transpire, everyone but Luna and Darien went
to either a corner of the room or a doorway so they could see the unique
presentation. Darien, now Tuxdeo Mask, stood in the middle of the room with
Luna in front of him at his feet.

Luna took a few steps back and began the instructions. "Now draw one
rose and toss it up in the air. Not hard enough so that it sticks into
Lita's ceiling, but gently so it will float back down."

Tuxedo Mask did as instructed. When the lone rose reached its peak,
Luna jumped and circled it, mimicking the movement she does when summoning
forth Scout Transformation Pens. In a blinding flash of light, the rose was
replaced with what looked like a combination of a rose and Sailor Moon's Moon
Sceptor. Catching it by its now green handle, Tuxedo Mask examnined it
further. The large red portion within the end of the sceptor was now a rose,
yet still contained within the dome casing. His costume had also changed in
some aspects. Most noticable were the lapels of his tuxedo, bow tie, gloves,
face mask, belt, the outside of his cape and the lining at the base of his
top hat, as they were now coloured gold instead of their original colours.
The remaining white areas of his costume as well as the red interior of his
cape had also changed colour to a brilliant silver.

As Luna landed on all fours, she immediately passed out, while
Artemis nearly went limp in Mina's arms.

	"Artemis? Are you OK?"

"I... I think so Mina." Artemis was more than a little hazy. "Why
did I get so tired all of a sudden?"

Luna, now awake and being tended to by Tuxedo Mask, answered as best
she could thanks to her exhausted state. "I think its my fault Artemis. I
didn't have enough energy to do it alone so I must have drained some from
you." She looked at Tuxedo Mask's shining new costume and smiled. "No one
outside of Serena's bloodline has ever led the Scouts, let alone a male! To
be completely honest, I didn't think that it would even work!"

Tuxedo Mask, beaming literally thanks to his shiny attire and
figuratively thanks to the honour of his new role, could only smile as he
carried Luna to a soft chair. He then willed himself to transform back to
Darien, and was surprised to find a Scout Pen in his hand afterwards.
Instead of a planetary symbol at the top was a small image of a single rose.
Placing it in his pocket, he turned to 'Ken' and 'Lita' as everyone reentered
the room.

"Now that the leadership detail has been worked out, your problems
are again the priority. I think I have an idea..."

Interrupting Darien was the sudden ringing of the phone. Hardly
allowing a second ring, 'Ken' had picked up the receiver. 'He' caught
'himself' though before speaking and tossed it to 'Lita'.

"Hello? Yes we're the friends of Serena Tsukino, do you have an
update on her condition? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Really?!" 'Lita's' face lit up.
"That's great news! That soon?! We wouldn't miss it! Thank you so much!"

Mina was playing with her hair in anticipation. "Well?! That was
obviously the hospital, what did they say?!"

'Lita' passed the receiver back to 'Ken', and as 'he' hung up the
phone, 'Lita' began relaying the information. "Serena woke up about ten
minutes ago! Other than a minor concussion, it seems like she'll be ok!"

The entire room became filled with sighs of relief and shouts of joy
over the news.

"So when can we see her?" asked an eager Darien.

"Well, she has to stay there for at least a week, that's their policy
of monster attack victims. Since she just woke up they want to keep her
alone for a bit, but they said we can visit almost all day tomorrow!"

Finally able to relax, everyone began to think clearly for the first
time in hours. Amy quickly made use of this with another revelation.

"I know how we can get Lita and Ken back to normal, and get the
shapechanger exactly where we want it."

"That's along the lines of what I was getting to when the phone rang.
Two birds with one stone right?" asked Darien.

"Precisely." Amy continued. "It is hunting us, and it prefers to
isolate us for its attacks. When confronted by too many opponents it flees.
Also, this creature apparantly has the ability to prolong the switching of
our Jupiters, so theoretically a large enough attack can reverse the entire
process. What we need to do is get it to attack Ken and Lita directly with a
powerful blast of energy. The best time to do that is apparantly when it
flees, so we have to lure it to a specific area, get it to attack, then scare
it off as it does so it blasts the Jupiters. This will most likely be our
only chance to reverse the process AND eliminate the creature."

"Amy, this is much too dangerous!" Luna was practically yelling. "I
can't even begin to start to consider this as a possibility! Your
calculations may prove incorrect which would allow us various other
opportunitues." She quickly turned to Amy. "No offense."

Amy merely smiled at the thought. "None taken."

Darien apparantly had a different opinion. "If it's our only chance
then we have to take it, but we're not going to just rush in without a plan."
Luna looked as if she was about to protest. "Luna, you trusted me with the
responsibility, and even though I got it by default, you can trust my
decision here." He turned to 'Ken' and 'Lita'. "Of course, this is all up
to you two."

Without hesitation, 'Ken' and 'Lita' looked at each other and nodded
silently in approval.

Luna sighed but tried to remain optimistic. "As much as I don't like
the idea, I will respect your decision. Where do we begin?"

Amy quickly pulled out her laptop and began typing away furiously.
"Since it frequents the park..."

	"I love you Kenny-Bear."

	"I love you Jupey-Poopey."

	"....."

	"What?"

	"Jupey-Poopey?"

"Hey, it's not much better than Kenny-Bear. Besides, it's the best I
could come up with on short notice! If we have to keep this act up much
longer I think I'm going to be sick!"

With that 'Lita' sat up straight and rested on the back of the park
bench instead of being nestled up against 'Ken'.

'Ken' put 'his' arm around 'Lita'. "Same here, but we have to appear
like a normal couple, so if overacting gets the shapechanger's attention so
it notices us, then we've got to play the parts."

'Lita' leaned on 'Ken' once more. "I know, it just seems almost
redundant to play the part of the girl when the end result of the whole thing
is to end up as the exact opposite."

"Nobody ever said being a Scout was easy, at least, not recently."
'Ken' paused. "Since it's late, this isn't going to be easy to do with only
a few lamp posts for light. Let's go over the plan again."

"When the creature shows up, we have to lure it to the old wishing
well just over that hill behind us. Mina will be facing it, hidden behind a
large tree. Raye will be behind the restrooms to its left while Amy will be
hiding behind a fountain to its right. We run past the well which signals
the Scouts to surround it with Darien performing his usual tricks to get
behind it. We transform and rush back in, giving it too many enemies to
handle while everyone gets around behind it, leaving us as its focus. It
blasts us, we switch back, it tries to run but is stopped by the Scouts
behind it. We get rid of it. Luna and Artemis watch the whole thing from
the top of the restrooms. That's the plan anyway."

"Personally, I prefer the back-up plan."

'Lita' raised 'her' eyebrows. "Run like hell?"

	"Yep!"

The two of them laughing caused them to fulfill their roles in an
unexpected manner, and it was only because of the increased light that they
noticed something was different.

"Its here!" 'Ken' shouted as 'he' jumped to 'his' feet, pulling
'Lita' up as well. When they looked behind them however, they saw nothing
but the bench, hill and three lampposts.

Without looking towards 'Ken', 'Lita' commented on the situation.
"Aren't there supposed to be only two..."

Before the sentance could be completed, the center lamppost
suddenly grew an extra three feet in height and the glow from the bulb
became practically blinding, and hot.

Having mentally rehearsed this hundreds of times already, 'Ken' and
'Lita' began racing towards the hill, the hopping lamppost close behind them.

'Lita' tried to break the coming tension early. "I guess we won't
have to worry about that lighting problem afterall!"

As they made it ovet the top of the hill they hit their stride and
bolted towards teh small well which was about thirty feet away. Not even
bothering to look behind them, they each ran on one side of the well and
passed the tree Mina, now Sailor Venus, was hiding behind. Pausing only
briefly to catch their breath, they could hear Sailors Mercury, Mars and
Venus along with Tuxedo Mask battling the creature. Transforming as quickly
as possible, Sailor Jupiter and Jupiter Knight turned face the creature and
complete the next stage of the plan.

What they saw was definitely not planned for.

The lamppost wasn't a lamppost anymore, as it has apparantly taken on
the form of the small hill. A ten foot tall grassy mound with arms and legs
was now standing near the restroom. What was apparantly the creature's left
arm as well as a portion of the restroom's wall was covered in ice, yet
Sailor Mercury had apparantly been thrown into the fountain and was knocked
unconcious. A large stone portion was knocked loose due to Mercury's
impact, letting the water flow out onto the ground, thankfully keeping her
head above water level.

Sailor Mars could not be seen, but her handywork was clearly visible.
The mound's right arm was ablaze yet it didn't seem to bother the creature.
Most likely it had adapted to it and its entire arm was now a combination of
fire and a grassy knoll. As for Sailor Mars, she had likely been knocked
behind the restroom and out of view.

Sailor Venus, almost directly in front of the Jupiters, was in the
midst of firing a Crescent Beam attack when she was nearly buried by a
flying mass of grass and dirt propelled from the creature.

The Jupiters ran towards the mound, which now had one fire arm, one
ice arm, and a base resembling the masonry of the well. They spotted Sailor
Mars lying on the ground holding her right ankle in pain with both cats
assisting her, but they still couldn't account for the location of Tuxedo
Mask.

	That didn't last long though.

A huge burst of red energy blasted through the creature's grassy
torso, leaving a hole nearly four feet in diameter. The Jupiters could see
Tuxedo Mask in his gold and silver enhanced tuxedo, a look of bewilderment
mixed with giddyness on his face as he looked at the hybrid Rose Sceptor.
Before he could fire again, the creature batted him towards the restrooms
using with it's ice arm, causing a crack to form in the ice covered wall
where he hit.

Realizing the impossibility of implementing Plab B with everybody
unable to run away, an improvised Plan C was needed.

Sailor Jupiter was almost dumbstruck as the creature began lumbering
closer to the restrooms and the prone Tuxedo Mask. "Look at how many things
it is!"

Jupiter Knight was also amazed, as he watched a section of the
creature's front change to resemble the restroom's unfrozen wall. It was
getting closer and closer to Tuxedo Mask. "We have to destroy it now, it
might be weakened because of the numerous changes."

"But if we do that we lose our best chance at changing back!"

"Either we destroy it or it destroys our friends."

Without hesitation, Sailor Jupiter nodded in agreement. "What's
your plan?"

As he drew his sword, he began a quick explanation. "Aim for the
frozen part of the wall, hit it with a Thunder Dragon." He then quickly ran
towards Tuxedo Mask and pulled him towards Artemis and Luna with Sailor Mars.

"You got it. JUPITER THUNDER DRAGON!" As she summoned the Dragon,
she realized how little control she'd actually have over it since this was
the first attempt at doing so. The inexperience was clearly visible, as the
Dragon hit the creature as much as it did the wall. The desired effect was
reached however, as the brittle wall crumbled and the exposed plumbing began
splashing onto the creature.

Returning to her side as quickly as possible, Jupiter Knight didn't
have to wait long to verify his theory, as the water did nothing except make
the creature wet and somewhat dampen its flame arm. Its attention now
diverted from its previous prey, it turned and began to focus on the
Jupiters.

Sailor Jupiter stood her ground. "This could be our only chance to
get it to change us back."

Jupiter Knight held his sword ready. "It also may be our last chance
to defeat it once and for all. We have to pick one or the other."

Glancing at the property damage and injuries the creature has already
inflicted, the Jupiters didn't even need to voice their decision to let the
other know what it was.

Sailor Jupiter stood prepared to call forth more lightning, while
Jupiter Knight positioned himself behind her with his sword out in front of
her. With the both of them holding the handle and the blade pointed towards
the creature, they simultaneously called forth the final attack.

"We call upon the great power of Jupiter, in the name of love and
nature, help us banish this shapeshifting creature!"

Lightning began to collect at the attenna of Sailor Jupiter's tiara
as well as at the base of Jupiter Knight's sword. Able to feel the unstable
energy coursing through them, they waited until they collected the maximum
amount they could physically handle, then had trouble aiming at the creature.

        "JUPITER SUPREME THUNDER!"

The lightning shot forth wildly, almost at random, from the tip of
Jupiter Knight's sword and connected with the creature. However, instead of
blowing a hole in it like the Rose Sceptor did, the lightning send the
creature flying back towards the restrooms and into the exposed plumbing.
Now completely doused by the gushing water, it was essentially electrocuted
thanks to the continous stream of lightning from the Jupiters. In a
brilliant flash of light, the creature seemingly imploded, leaving behind a
slight ripple in the air which only lasted for a fraction of a second.

Physically drained, the Jupiters walked to the broken wall to examine
the area. A small puddle of... something... was sitting in part of the
damaged metal plumbing. Before they could investigate further, a barely
audible voice came from behind them.

"What... what happened to it?" asked a dazed Sailor Mercury.

Sailor Jupiter, still facing the broken wall, lowered her head.
Following a momentary pause, she turned to face Sailor Mercury, tears
running freely down her cheeks. After looking down at her body and
releasing a heartfelt sigh, she finally gave Sailor Mercury her answer, the
tears present even in her trembling voice...

	"We destroyed it."

TO BE CONCLUDED...
END PART FIVE

---------------

Alright, that took me forever and I apologize, but thankfully its a huge part
compared to the rest. Anyway, Part Six is the finale, and will likely end up
being fairly short. EVERYBODY thought that I switched Tuxedo Mask and Sailor
Moon! Based on that reaction I made Tuxedo Mask the leader. It's still a
kind of role reversal, leading the Scouts. Any other change would have
drastically changed the plot, so this is the most major revision I could
make. If anyone wants to draw Tuxedo Mask with the Rose Sceptor, please do
so!

PS - Look closely and you'll see that I mention things/places from Lady
Jupiter's stories, bonus points for those who find what I mean. I'll point
out specifics in this section of Part Six. Also, I reviewed some video
clips to get the joint Jupiter attack to sound JUST right. Hope you all
like the extra effort! :)

NOTE: This series' original name was "Soulmates" but I was told that title
has been used previously. I reluctantly altered the title to it's current
one, "Divided Destiny."
