Ch 8
A happy ending
It was two years now, ever since Lita had beaten Drusilla. After
everyone knew that Lita was going to be okay, she recovered quickly. Now,
Lita, Serena, Raye, Mina and Amy were going to go to their second year of
college. Rini went back to the future. They had almost forgotten what had
happened. Locke was walking down the road looking for Lita. He met Amy.
"Hey, Amy, have you seen Lita?" He asked anxiously. Amy shook her head.
"No, but I think she has a cooking class right now in the third wing." She
replied. "I guess I'll wait till later..." Locke murmured. "What's the
hurry anyway?" Amy asked. "Hey, why don't you get the others who don't have
classes now and I'll tell you why." Locke said. Amy looked at him
suspiciously. "Uh, okay. I... guess... I will." She sputtered. Locke
smiled. "Thanks!"
They all met at Raye's temple. Luckily, Lita was the only one who
had a class. "So, Locke! Why'd you drag us here? I was going to go for Ice
Cream!" Serena complained. Raye looked at her. "Serena, there's more to
life than ice-cream!" Raye said. "I know! But ice cream is one of the main
parts in life to me!" Serena said. "Serena, you're hopeless!" Raye said.
"Am not!" Serena yelled. "Are too!" Raye yelled back. "Am not!" "Are too!"
"Am not!" "Are too!" Mina sighed. "You guys aren't kids anymore! We're 19
years old! We're old enough to get married, have kids, take our OWN
responsibility and..." Mina started. "Mina, SHUT UP!" Raye and Serena
yelled. Then they started to quarrel again. Mina said they're hopless then
soon she was in the fight. Amy jumped in. "I guess you guys don't want to
know about what I'm gonna do..." Locke said, smiling. He whistled as he
started to walk out. "Hey Locke! Where are you going?" Raye asked. Everyone
stopped fighting. "Well.." Locke started. He reached in his pocket and
pulled out a small box. He opened it. Whan everyone saw what was inside,
they gasped. "Locke! You... you're gonna... propose to Lita?" Amy asked.
Locke nodded. "Do you think she'll say yes?" Locke asked. "Of course she
will! She loves you, you know that!" Serena exclaimed. "Yeah, but..." Locke
started. "Hi! Everyone's here? Cool!" Lita trotted up the stairs. Locke
quickly put the box in his pocket. "Locke, what's that?" Lita asked
curiously. "Um, nothing." Locke said. His face went bright red. "Oh, Locke
wants to..." Serena started. Raye quickly covered her mouth. "Serena," Raye
hissed. Lita put her hands on her hips. "Are you guys hiding something from
me?" Lita asked. She looked at Locke. "Well?" She asked. Locke pulled out
the box again. Lita waited impaitiently. "Lita, this isn't... the time or
place to do this... but..." Locke sputtered. He opened the box. Lita's
mouth changed into a big wide O. "L-Locke!" She said. "Lita... will... will
you marry me?" Locke asked, feeling pretty silly proposing to Lita in front
of her friends. The four girls sat impatiently waiting for Lita's answer.
Lita's O turned into a big grin. Tears came out of her eyes. "Oh, Locke!"
Lita said. She practically jumped on Locke, hugging him tightly. "Of course
I will," She wispered in his ear. Locke smiled. Lita let go of him. Locke
placed the ring on her finger. It was not too big, it was gold, and it had
tiny emeralds covering it. The four other girls clapped and whooped. "Way
to go Lita!" Serena yelled. Darien came by. "Whoa! What's going on here?"
He asked. Serena ran to him and hugged him. "Oh Darien! This is so
wonderful! Lita and Locke are engaged!" Serena said. Darien smiled. He went
up to Locke and patted him on the back. "Thatta boy, Locke! You finally
made the big move!" He said. Serena pulled him back. "When are YOU going to
do that, huh? Isn't it time for us to get engaged? You're pretty mean!"
Serena said, pouting. "Hey, it'll happen soon!" Darien said. "It better,"
Serena said, playfully punching him. "So, I guess you guys will live
happily ever after," Mina said.
Fiona was wandering around in space. She looked down at the happy
Lita and Locke. She got mad. "I'll be back soon to get you, Lita. I'll be
back, don't you worry." She growled.
