Unpopular?

Is Sailormoon losing popularity? It sunk pretty fast in Japan after the SuperS (which is another story...). In North America the show itself has seen a huge burst in popularity. The dub, as horrible as it is, has gotten many an otaku into the show. But now, just when the show reaches a peak in popualrity, webpages are closing all over the place. Why? Vitriolic moonies and the lack of material to update.

Face it, the original Sailormoon has been over for at least 3 years now. No more new material equals nothing to update. The show's ratings in Japan delcined during the SuperS (hint hint). Maybe there was just TOO much Chibiusa, wait, there's no maybe about it. The season itself was very predictable and rather dull to be frank. While I enjoyed the last few episodes with the Amazoness Quartet and the usage of the Golden Crystal, I think I might have wasted a good $10.50 on the beginning of the SuperS. I mean, I could have gotten the end of the StarS, but nooooo.... I had to get all the SuperS. This is beginning to turn into a totally different rant, oh well.

All in all, something awful is happening with this splurge of moonies. Sites are closing, people are getting bitter and cruel. There are other animes out there that these poor, abused webmasters are turing to. Ones that aren't as old, aren't as popular. Popularity's a bitch, ne?
