The morning came slowly behind the horizon.The sun shyly showed its face behind a small number of white clouds,colouring the sky with a beautiful tone of red.On the other side of the sky,probably on Esthar,the sky was still dark-blue.The stars were disappearing slowly,and soon the moon also hid her pale face from the sun.
On the beach was everything quiet.The first boats were heading to the sea,to catch some fishes.It was a good time to go fishing,as the sea was still calm.Just the noise of the small waves hitting the beach could be heard.
The city was still sleeping.The streets were desert and the only sound heard was of the birds'.The first stores were opening,the bakery was already making its breads and the smell of them entered the houses and travelled through the streets.
Irvine sighed,full of a wonderful peace.He never felt so happy,he never thought that this kind of life would make him happy.A normal married man's life.A simple married man's life.No adventures,no emotions,no fights,no risks...but still,it was so good to live like this!Everyday the same routine,but it was still different.He loved waking up earlier and sit there,on the window,like he was now:his hair loose,using a large trouser,just to watch to day begins.The Fisherman's Horizon City was always beautiful,every morning waking up the same way.He loved its tranquility,he loved the smell of the sea...
He turned his head to his room,finding his wife sleeping on their bed.Usually she would get up earlier,but on the lattest days,somehow,he didn't fell too much tired.He just wanted to use wisely his last days of honneymoon.Soon they would have to go back to Balamb and to work.And maybe their routine would change.But he didn't care.Being with Quistis was all that he wanted.
Irvine approached her and sat by her side,taking care to not wake up her.She should be very tired,for sure!But she was so beautiful...so incredibly beautiful...
Her head was over the pillow,her shiny blond hair dispersed around the bed as golden strands.Her pale face was almost hidden by strands of her hair,and Irvine couldn't resist the temptation of taking off those strands to see her face.Slowly,very slowly,he pulled it with his fingers and Quistis just sighed again by his touch,but didn't wake up.He just stared by the sight of her beautiful features.Her thin lips,her soft pale skin,her arched eyebrowns that gave her a distinct look...
Her curvaceous body was under the sheets,and it covered her as a second skin.She had a great,perfect body,and her skin was the softest thing that he had ever touched.He watched her chest going up and down and felt an intense sensation of peace and happiness through his veins.He felt like he would stare like that forever...
Suddenly,Quistis stretched and yawned,openning her eyes.She turned her head and faced Irvine,smiling.
"What time is it?",she asked.
"It's still early.You can go back to your dreams..."
"I'm dreaming already..."
He caressed her face and said:
"Did I tell you that you are very beautiful when you wake up?"
"Every morning...you are going to spoil me..."
"That's all I want.So you won't be able to stay a minute without me..."
"I'm independent,dear.Don't think that you'll be my owner..."
"Really?So we are married just for one month and you are already wanting independence?"
"Silly!",she said throwing the pillow on his face."
Irvine took the pillow and put it on the bed,by his side.Quistis wrapped the sheet around her waist and sat on Irvine's legs.She passed her soft hands on Irvine's naked chest very slowly,her fingers gently caressing his well-shaped muscles.
"And think that you are all mine!",she said on a malicious tone.Her hair slowly felt over her shoulders covering her breasts and reaching Irvine's belly.He couldn't help it,but smiled.
He picked up a strand of her hair and pushed it gently behind her shoulder.His hands reached for her breasts.She smiled to him and he said:
"My beautiful Quistis..."
He reached for her lips and they kissed.His strong arms involved her waist gently and she trod her hands into his hair,picking up some strands between her fingers.
Quistis ended the kiss and asked:
"You never get tired?It's just five in the morning!"
"So what?It's still night..."
Quistis smiled:
"Why can't I resist you?"
"Because I'm irrestible..."
She let him embrace her and he kissed her again.
"I love you,honey",he said.
"I do love you,Irvine..."

Quistis put the tray over the table,in front of Irvine.He smiled to her and glanced at the table.There was juice,bread,jelly and coffee,a kind of Quistis'vice.Usually she let a jar full of coffee on the coffee machine and drank a cup of it every half an hour.
She sat in front of him and drank some coffee.Irvine ate some bread and looked around.They always had their breakfast on the balcony of the house that they have rented for their honneymoon.It was Cid's suggestion to pass their honneymoon on F.H.City,and they accepted it gently,knowing that Cid had a good taste for these kind of things.Irvine could never imagine that it would be so good to pass a month there.It was a quite but beautiful city,even for him that was used to big cities.He was even wondering about having a house there to pass some time,every year...
"I love this place",said Quistis.
"Yes,it is very beautiful,isn't it?"
Quistis sighed:
"I wanted to stay here for a long time if I could...you have been so kind to me here..."
Irvine smiled:
"Well,I need to give you a good impression."
"Nah...you silly.You don't impress me.I know exaclty what you have to show...",she said with a malicious tone.
"Do you?I'm sorry baby,but you didn't see anything yet..."
"Uhhh...I hope you don't wear me out!"
They laughed and Quistis said:
"But,talking seriously,I guess that we spent time enough here.I mean,it is time to go back to Balamb..."
Irvine put his arms around his head and bent down,over the table:
"Oh,Quistis!Can't you forget about your job?"
"Irvine,we had one month of vacation!And we can come back anytime...Cid must be needing me,I'm a teacher and the Supervisor too...you know how I care about my job..."
"Yes,I know.And I must work too...at least Galbadia Garden let me stay on Balamb with you..."
"Sure.And did you think that I would let you on Galbadia Garden alone?"
"Don't you trust me?"
She smiled and got up,sitting on his lap.She put her arms around his neck and said:
"I do trust you,because if you betray me...I'll hit you with my whip..."
"Oh...is that a punishment?"
"You pervert!"
He kissed her gently and she said:
"Don't fool me!You get up and arrange your things...we must take the train to Balamb today..."
She enterd their room and Irvine whispered:
"Yes,teacher...how can I say no?"

Irvine put their lugagge on the floor of his new house in Balamb.Quistis opened all windows of the house to let the sun enter,as the house stayed closed for almost a month.
The choice for Balamb City was almost automatic.Balamb was the closest city to Balamb Garden,just fifteen minutes by car,or a half an hour by foot.Quistis didn't even think twice about that choice and Irvine agreed imediatly.Well,he preferred living on Derring City,actually,it was his first choice.But they would take hours to arrive on Balamb Garden.So,there was not much to talk about after that.Quistis didn't even think about living on Derring City,she was too serious.But again,Irvine made her swear to him that they would go there sometimes,as Balamb was too quite for him.
But it was a good city,after all.Irvine liked the smell of sea and the good people that lived around.And their house was very good also.A big simple house near the town square.They could see the sea from their room upstairs,and it reminded F.H.City somehow.
"Dear,come upstairs!"shouted Quistis,"here!
Irvine went upstairs and found Quistis sitting on their bed,a huge bouquet of flowers by her side.She smiled to Irvine and read a paper on her hands:
'For our dearest friends:welcome back!We missed you from our hearts.We love you.Kisses,
Selphie,Edea,Cid,Zell,Squall and Rinoa.'
"Aren't they nice?"
Irvine smiled:
"How did they know that we would be coming back today?"
"I called Edea yesterday and talked about our travel."
"Oh,I see.And you intend working tomorrow?"
"Actually I was thinking about going there today.After lunch."
"After lunch?!"he shouted,"I can't believe it!We just arrived here!"
"I know,I know...but I am missing them...and also,there is so many things to do there..."
Irvine involved her waist and said on a deep seductive tone:
"Please,honey...not today...we just arrived here,I want to take some rest,arrange things...inaugurate our bed..."
"Irvine!"
"Really...we can inaugurate all rooms...it takes some time..."
Quistis smiled:
"Can't you be serious for once time?"
"I am!I am not kidding!"
"Yeah..."
She turned to her lugagge and picked up some clothes:
"I'll arrange these things first and then we can have lunch on the restaurant.After that I'll take a car and go to Balamb.Will you go with me?"
He sighed:
"And do I have any choice?"

"Hey,Zell,bring more fried potatoes!",shouted Selphie from the table where was everybody sit.
Rinoa,Squall,Edea,Cid,Zell,Quistis,Irvine and Selphie were together,having some barbacue on the field behind Edea's house.They have been talking for hours,everybody telling something new,asking about Quistis and Irvine's honneymoon,talking about anything at all:
"Seifer decided helping Laguna in Esthar,"said Edea,"he thought better about the purpose and went there to stay for some months..."
"Yeah,and do you know who is going with him?",asked Rinoa.
"No..."said Irvine,"I have no idea...
"Well...it was really a surprise..."said Zell from behind.
"Nah,not much surprising,"said Selphie",I had my clues.
"Well,Seifer know how to hide things...and I really had some trouble finding out who was..."was Squall's opinion.
"It's that because you could not see very well..."
"Hey,hey...can you tell me who is Seifer's love huh?",asked Irvine
"Fujin",answered Quistis.
"Hey,how do you know?",asked Irvine again.
"Huh,it was obvious.Everybody knew that Fujin was in love with him...she always was the only one worried about him..."
"You know everything!"said Selphie,"that's amazing...
"Just some perception...and it's enough.I always knew it...Seifer was too selfish to admit,but he was attracted by her,I guess."
"Well...now what a wife I have here!Will I ever be able to lie someday..."
"Will you ever think about lying someday?Just try it Mr.Kinneas..."said Quistis.
He kissed her lips and said:
"Alright,I understand it..."
"I see you will really treat him right..."commented Edea,"I guess you are making him wake up early everyday,aren't you?"
"Well,lately he has been preparing the breakfast and taking it to my bed...you know,washing the dishes...these kind of men task..."
"Hey!"protested Irvine,"don't believe her,we...share the tasks..."
Everybody laughed and Cid,who was in silence through the conversation,said:
"Well,it's so good to see you so fine!My best teacher,our best shooter!Well,Balamb is on good hands for sure!But...well,I don't like doing this but I have no choice...as you are just married I was some kind of...worried about asking you this...but..."
Quistis touched Cid's hand and said:
"Please,Cid,you can ask whatever you want..."
"Okay...well,it's not for now...in reality,it's for five months from now,after the vacation...actually,Laguna asked me for some help on his school in Esthar...you know that they are constructing a school there,but they have no experience,so he asked me if I could send someone from here to Esthar..."
"I see...and you want me to go there,right?"
"Yes.But as I said,you don't need to worry.The school is not ready,it will take some time...after the vacation.So,you and Irvine will be able to travel and spend some time together before you travel..."
"How long will she stay there?",asked a worried Irvine.
"It depends...maybe some days or a month...but she will be back on the weekends if she wants..."
Irvine made a grimace.Quistis kissed his cheek and said:
"I'll accept Cid.Actually,it will be a pleasure..."
Cid smiled:
"Thank you very much,Quistis...we can talk about the details after."
"Okay..."
Irvine bent his head down and whispered:
"what will I do without you Quistis?We're just married!"
She smiled:
"Don't worry,dear...it will be for a month...and besides,we'll have too much time to have fun together...even...inaugurate our rooms..."
Irvine's eyes shone:
"Well,well...it makes me see the situation through a complete different view..."

Five months after...

Friday night was very active on Balamb City.It was about two o'clock in the morning and around the Cafés and restaurants,even on the town square,many young boys and girls were having some fun.There was a band on one of the bars playing a nice music and the streets had a small movement of cars.
Irvine took a deep breathe and held Quistis on his arms,gently.He kissed her forehead and she put her hand on his shoulder,her head below Irvine's chin.There was a pleasant silence around the room just disturbed by the sound of a nice music distant,outside their peace.They could hear the sound of the waves on the beach and the distant voices of the young on the streets.
Quistis closed her eyes and said:
"You know...today we celebrate seven months of marriage..."
"You think I forgot?I was just waiting for midnight to say this to you...but I guess I forgot everything for the latest hours..."
"So did I..."she smiled,"you always make me forget everything..."
"You really must go to Esthar tomorrow?I mean...Squall can do the same thing there...and I'll miss you so much..."
"Come on Irvine...it will be just for one week!"
"I know...but it will be a looong week for sure..."
Quistis kissed his forehead and got up,standing in front of the window.She lit a cigarette and took some puffs of it:
"You are an independent man,aren't you?So,I guess you can stay alone for some days..."
Irvine also got up and involved her waist with his arms.He took the cigarette from her fingers and took some puffs from it:
"I thought that a married man's life would be so boring you know?But it's so fascinating...being with you is the best thing I've ever proved...I love you so much..."
Quistis turned to him and said:
"I also love you Irvine...I love you so much..."
They kissed and Quistis said:
"Promise me you'll be fine for this week...I'll call you everyday from Esthar..."
"Please,do it...your voice will comfort me...at least your voice..."
"Will you behave?Will you stay at home every night?"
"I will...and you too.Don't work too much there."
She smiled:
"Don't worry.I trust you dear..."
"Okay...now...it's too early yet...I guess we still have some time before the train comes to take you away from me..."
Quistis smiled and the both came back to the bed.
