Chapter 1
Eternal Regrets
Sun slowly rose over the lapping waters that slowly made its way
onto a small beach. Pink, red, and purple colors filled the sky, making it
seem as though it were on fire....a burning raging fire of hope and
love. The cool, clear water slowly filled with fish as they awoke from
their submerged sleep. The water reached a small beach section that was
filled with shells, sand, and footprints. If these footprints were
followed they would lead to a young 18 year old women, Yuna. As Yuna stood on
the beach of Besaid Island she watched the rising sun with her green
and purple eyes. They were filled with emotions from the heart. They
showed compassion, worry, anxiety, and most of all....love. Sighing she
slowly closed her eyes and bent her hair down. Then the morning breeze
began to blow, making her short brown hair flow elegantly through the air.
Her clothes also swayed with her hair as the morning light touched her
face. Her satin lips were still for a time then they slowly mouthed one
single word
“....Tidus....” Opening her eyes she stared at the rising sun as a
single tear slipped down her face and fell into the majestic water below.
*****
In the Farplane stood a man with a deep, dark, and mysterious past.
As he stood he looked at the rising sun and sighed. His dark brown eyes
slowly closed and he pushed his glasses back. A scar made its way from
the top of his head to the beginning of his left eye. His red clothes
rustled as he moved to the side and he walked to a corner of the large
field of flowers. Then a other man made his way to him from behind and
called to him.
“ Yo! Auron!” called the man. Auron turned around to see none other
than his friend, Jecht. Auron’s expression not changing from normal he
turned back to the sight and Jecht made his way up to the right side of
his friend.
“ What’s wrong with you stiff?” Jecht asked folding his arms and
staring at Auron. Auron, in response, said “ Nothing....”
Jecht eyed his friend and said “ Come on Auron. I know you better than
that! Tell me.” Auron closed his eyes and still refused to answer.
Jecht sighed and rubbed his head. Turning his attention to the field of
spirit’s as they began to take their form that they once had before they
were killed and sent here to the Farplane. Then a spirit made its way
toward the two men watching the view it took form.
“ Auron, Jecht. Good morning.” said the voice with a smile appearing on
his face. As Auron and Jecht turned they saw their friend, Summoner
Braska.
As they approached the chamber that held Lady Yunalesca in it, who was
waiting for a summoner to complete the pilgrimage and obtain the Final
Aeon, Jecht spoke up.
“ I’ve been thinking and all. I am willing to give myself up to become
the Final Aeon. I realize now that my dreams of ever returning to my
Zanarkand and see my wife and son again will never happen. The least I
can do for Spira is give myself up to become the Final Aeon so that you
can bring the next Calm.” Jecht’s voice spoke up. Auron, turned his head
and stared at his friend with disbelief.
“ Jecht! Don’t do this! We will figure out a way for you to get back to
your Zanarkand! There must be a way!” Auron spoke to his friend. Jecht
only smiled and looked at his friend.
“ Do me one more favor Auron?.” Jecht spoke softly. Auron remained
silent and stared at the destroyed ruin floor. Emotion started to fill
himself as his shoulders shook. He knew that his best friends were going to
die...and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Shaking the emotion
from his face he rose his eyes to meet his friend’s as he spoke.
“ Ok....what is it?” Jecht smiled and looked at Auron.
Rubbing his head he spoke “ Could you watch over my son in Zanarkand?
He needs someone to hold his hand when he cries. He’s always like that.
Please...will you watch over him?”
Auron looked a little shocked and said “ But....how will I get to
Zanarkand?” Jecht merely laughed and said “ Hey, you said so yourself.
There must be a way there. Trust me, you’ll find it.”
Auron smiled himself and said “ Alright. I give you my word. I will
watch over your son. I’ll protect him with my life.” Jecht smiled and
walked up to him putting a hand on his shoulder.
“ Thanks Auron. You know....you were kinda stiff in the beginning but
that’s what I like about you.”
***********
“ Hey! Braska! Good morning to ya too!” Jecht said smiling. Auron’s
feature remained the same as he watched the person he guarded walk up to
him and look at his face.
“ Auron....what is the matter?” Braska asked curiously. Sighing a sigh
of defeat he looked back at the flowers and said “ I...was hoping to
meet a old friend here, once I came but...it seems the person isn’t
here.”
“ Who were ya hoping to meet?” Jecht asked listening in. Auron turned
and looked at the water. “ A very special person....her name was
Reandra....” Auron started to explain.
A young 16 year old teenager walked down the street’s of Bevelle with
determination in his eyes. He was so focused on something else that he
didn’t hear a young women, of the same age, call his name. She was
running as fast as she could toward Auron. Her breathing was fast and sharp
but she kept running and calling his name. Finally hearing it Auron
turned around and smiled.
“ Hi Reandra!” Auron said smiling.
Reandra stopping in front on him, bent down and gasped for air. As she
bent down her shoulder length hair moved forward and covered her face.
Her reddish, brownish hair glistened with sunlight as it shown on her.
Her slender body trembled with emotion and tiredness as she looked up
and stood upward.
Her slender face and bright brown eyes glistened with sadness as she
spoke with her soft voice “ Auron...why didn’t you tell me? I thought we
were friends?”
Auron sighed and said “ Because....I didn’t want to trouble you with
your father’s recent death and well...I didn’t exactly want you hurt.”
Reandra closed her eyes and said “ But....why? I don’t care about my
father’s death! I want to know why you are leaving!”
Auron sighed and put a hand on his friends shoulder. “ I want to prove
to myself that I can be one of the best warrior monk’s out there.
So...I’m leaving to train with the new recruits.” Reandra shut her eyes and
shook her head as tears fell down slowly. Sighing he looked down at the
ground and closed his own eyes.
“ Then....promise me one thing Auron....” Reandra said slowly as she
start to feel her heart hurt.
Auron looked up into his friends eyes and nodded. “ Anything.” Reandra
reached into the back of her neck and pulled off a small necklace that
had a small diamond on it that was surrounded with a small golden
heart. Taking Auron’s hand in his she opened it and set the necklace down in
his palm and closing his hand with hers.
“ Promise me...that you’ll come back....” Reandra said softly.
Auron nodded and slowly lifted his hand and rested it on her cheek. “ I
promise you....I will come back.” he whispered softly. Reandra then
buried her face in his chest and cried softly. Auron, almost reluctantly,
wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. Reandra finally looked
up and then suddenly covered her lips with Auron’s. Auron was shocked
at first then slowly closed his eyes and kissed back. Reandra slowly
brought her arms around his neck as they held each other for what seemed
like eternity.
Slowly letting go Auron kissed her quickly once again and said “ I love
you Reandra...”
Reandra rested her head on his shoulder and said softly “ I love you
too. I’ve wanted to tell you all this time...but I’ve never had the
courage. Just please....come back to me....”
“ I will....I’ll come back for you...” Auron promised as he bent his
head down one more time, to close the gap between their lips. After a few
minutes Auron finally separated from the lack of air. Holding Reandra
close to him he held her for what seemed like forever, then almost
reluctantly let go and ran to the awaiting airship, as his heart already
yearned for her love.
*********
Auron sighed and opened up his hand. There was the same necklace that
Reandra had given him all those years ago. “ And I never saw her
again....” he voice softly spoke as he closed his eyes and remained silent.

Chapter 2
Old Friends, New Beginnings
In Besaid Village no one was on the street’s except Yuna. As she
walked into the small village she looked around and saw that everyone was
still asleep. Near the Crusaders Lodge she saw the newly put up fence
area and three chocobo’s were sitting on the ground, fast asleep.
Smiling to herself she looked up at the temple and she closed her eyes again.
This was where she had first met her first and only love....Tidus.
Slowly she opened her eyes and started to walk toward the steps of the
temple. Her footsteps echoed through the still morning air as she walked
toward the steps. Just before she stepped on them she stopped as she
heard another voice behind her.
“ Yuna....help me...” the voice echoed through her ears. Her eyes
widening she turned around to see nothing there. The wind began to blow and
she shivered as goosebumps appeared on her arms. Hugging herself she
turned again toward the temple and continued to stare at it. Then the
chocobo’s began to arise from their sleep and as they let out their
morning crow of happiness life in Besaid Village began to awaken.
In the second small hut on the right side of the village awoke a
man about 23 woke up and rubbed his head slowly. Groaning he rubbed his
eyes slowly and stood up. Reaching for his blue headband he put it on
and sighed. Wakka, former captain of the blitzball team the Besaid
Aurchos walked out of his cabin and looked around at his home.(Hi! Jackie
here! Sorry if I got Wakka’s age wrong. I don’t really know how old he is.
I think he is Lulu’s age but I’m not sure. Please correct me if I am
wrong. Ok, back to the story!) Turning his head he saw Yuna standing at
the front of the temple, not moving, and just staring. Having his face
change to a worried expression he walked up to Yuna and placed a hand on
her shoulder. Gasping she turned around and hit him on the head.
“ Ow!” Wakka spoke as he rubbed his head and groaned. Yuna covered her
mouth and had a shocked look on her face.
“ I’m so sorry Wakka! Please forgive me!” Yuna said bowing the upper
part of her body forward. Wakka finally stopped rubbing his head and
looked at Yuna. Showing confusion on his face he sighed and spoke up.
“ It’s ok Yuna. I’m just wonderin why your up so early ya?” Wakka said
curiously. Yuna stood up and sighed heavily. Her eyes showed her answer
and Wakka couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. Since Tidus left last
year she had been nothing but miserable inside though her face didn’t
show it. Even though she looked happy on the outside, inside her never
ending love for Tidus still tried to tear her apart from the inside. He
knew that she loved Tidus so much that she would be willing to do
anything to see him again if she could. Putting both of his hands on her
shoulders he smiled and looked down at her.
“ He’ll be back Yuna. If he truly loves you back as much as you love
him, he’ll return somehow or someway....just be patient ok?” Wakka said.
Yuna smiled and then nodded. Smiling Wakka motioned for her to come eat
breakfast in his house. Nodding she followed Wakka into his cabin as
people started to appear from their own huts as the day began.
In the temple the Hymn of the Faith rang through the halls. In the
room with the statue’s a young 23 year old women was praying in front of
a statue. Her long black braided hair moved back and forth across her
back as she prayed to the statue of High Summoner Braska. A smile
appeared on her bright purple lips and she opened her brown eyes and stood
up. Crossing her arms she continued to stare at the statue and then the
temple priest came up behind her.
“ Good morning Lady Lulu.” the priest said bowing and doing the prayer.
Lulu nodded and turned around to see the priest. Walking past him and
out the temple entrance she sighed and looked at the morning sun as it
lit up the morning. Looking to the Crusaders Lodge she saw the chocobo’s
walking around their fenced area for food. Looking at the seed bag set
near the fence she shrugged and walked toward the bag. Picking the
small bag up she gently cupped her hand and dug it slowly into the bag.
Taking a handful of seeds out she held her hand out and one of the
chocobo’s walked up to her hand and eat out of it gently. Smiling to herself
she didn’t notice the Captain of the Crusaders walking up to her and
smiling to himself.
“ You like the chocobo’s huh?” Gatta said laughing. In surprise Lulu
dropped the bag and let the seeds fall from her hand to the ground where
the chocobo would reach it. Wiping her hands on her dress she folded
her arms and looked serious to Gatta.
“ Well the only reason I was doing that is because I noticed those poor
chocobo’s were really hungry and hey looked like they were about read
to eat each other.” Lulu scowled at Gatta. Shaking his head Gatta
reached for the bag of seeds and poured some into a small bucket as a small
grinding sound appeared. As the sound reached the chocobo’s ears they
warked happily and walked to the bucket. As they eat Lulu moved one of
her braids away from his face and looked toward Wakka’s hut.
“ I’ll see you later Gatta.” Lulu said as she turned and walked toward
Wakka’s hut. Gatta scratched his head and then smiled. As Lulu
approached the cabin she smiled to herself as she remembered the past year. As
she approached the entrance she knocked on the wall.
“ Anybody home?” Lulu called into the hut. As the sheet for the door
moved aside Wakka appeared and smiled.
“ Lulu! Good morning! Care to join Yuna and me for breakfast?” Wakka
said happily. Lulu smiled and nodded. Moving out of the way Lulu walked
in to see Yuna sitting on the floor and staring into space.
“ Good morning Yuna.” Lulu said smiling. Yuna, snapped out of her
daydream, smiled, and nodded her head. Lulu moved next to Yuna and sat down
next to her. Wakka reached toward the stove and took a small plate.
Smiling he set down the two plates in front of Lulu and Yuna and laughed a
little.
“ Scrambled chocobo eggs that are seasoned with salt and pepper to just
the right amount. I hope you ladies like it.” Wakka said proudly. Lulu
smiled and slowly grabbed a fork with her slender fingers. Taking a
small amount in her mouth she eat it slowly.
“ Mmmmm! This is delicious Wakka! I didn’t know you cooked so well!”
Lulu said admiring his cooking. Wakka blushed, scratched his head, and
then laughed again. Yuna also laughed as Lulu continued to eat some more.
Yuna also eat some and also thought it was delicious. After finishing
it Lulu got up and handed her plate to Wakka.
“ Thank you for that fine breakfast Wakka.” Lulu said patting his
shoulder with her hand. Yuna eyes the two adult’s and lifted her hand to her
shin and cupped it.
“ Hmmmmmmm.....” Yuna said out loud as she observed Lulu and Wakka.
Blushing Lulu took her hand off of Wakka’s shoulder and Wakka’s turned to
the exit and walked out of the hut. Lulu eyes Yuna and then shook her
head. Sighing she also walked out of the hut and Yuna then laughed a
little. Picking up her plate she gently set it on Wakka’s sink she walked
out of the hut to see Wakka and Lulu talking to Kimahri in the center
of the village.
“ Kimahri!” Yuna said happily running toward him and hugging him.
Kimahri, shocked from the sudden hug smiled and patted her back. Letting go
and backing up a bit Yuna smiled at her best and most loyal guardian
she had. For the past year Kimahri had been at Mt.Gagazet, helping his
people get over the great loss of the number of their population. Now he
had returned for a visit to his friends.
“ Kimahri happy to see Yuna. You grow into fine young women over the
year.” Kimahri’s deep voice spoke as he smiled. Lulu and Wakka smiled too
and they both nodded in agreement. Yuna blushed and shook her head. It
was great to see her friends together again since some of them went
their separate ways after the defeat of Sin. Kimahri reached into his
pocket and pulled out a small movie sphere.
“ This for you Yuna from Rikku.” Kimahri said handing it to her. Yuna
thanked Kimahri and then turned her attention to the sphere. Looking at
the sphere it had Al Bhed writing on it and she groaned.
“ I was never good at remembering the Al Bhed language. Ok, now if I
remember what Rikku taught me play in Al Bhed language
is....uh.....this!” Yuna said pushing a button and a small figure of Rikku came up on the
glowing sphere.
“ Hey Yunnie! If this is showing then you remember what I taught you
about the Al Bhed language. Good job! Now onto business! Over here in
Bikanel Island we are hard at work repairing our Home and we are making
quite the progress! We are half way done and is it looking great! I can’t
wait to see you guys soon! I’ll be coming to see you guys within the
next month or so. Anyway if the others are watching this hi Wakka, Lulu,
and Kimahri. Well Cid says hi and I got to get back to work! Reply to
this as soon as you can! Bye and peace out!” Rikku said before
disappearing. Yuna smiled and shook her slowly.
“ Good ol Rikku for you!” Yuna said putting the sphere into her pocket
also. Kimahri nodded and Lulu sighed. Wakka looked around and they
remained silent. Yuna then felt she had something to do.
“ Lulu? Wakka? Kimahri? I have something I want to do.” Yuna said
closing her eyes. Lulu looked at Yuna curiously and then sighed. Wakka knew
what she was going to say and Kimahri’s face remained plain.
“ I want to go to the Farplane and see if Tidus is there.” Yuna said
with hope in her voice. Wakka looked at Yuna then Lulu and then back to
Yuna. Yuna looked up at Wakka as he nodded.
“ I’ll go with you.” Wakka said smiling. Lulu smiled then nodded.
“ I’ll go too. There is someone I need to visit as well. What about you
Kimahri?” Lulu said. Kimahri nodded and that meant in his own way that
he would follow. Yuna smiled and said “ Well then....let us be on our
way.”
*********
“......Am I.....alive?” a voice spoke in a whisper. A young man
slowly groaned as he opened his eyes. Not recognizing his surroundings the
young man opened his blue eyes and looked around. He was in a small bed
in the corner of a room. In the far corner was a small window that was
open. The wind was blowing the white lace curtains slowly and
mystically through the air as the young man continued to look around. There was
a small bookshelf and a desk next to the shelf. The young man sighed
and looked at the other end of the room. There was a small door and then
it slowly opened. The young man looked at it to see a young women,
about 28, look in and smile.
“ Ah, your awake.” the young women said as she walked in carrying a
small tray of food. The young man looked confused and tried to sit up but
then felt a sharp pain in his back. Hissing in air through his teeth he
gently set himself back down onto the bed and the women set the tray of
food on the desk. Walking up to him she sat down on the chair next to
the bed and looked at his head.
“ How are you feeling?” the women asked. The young man sighed and spoke
“ I’m ok I guess. My back is really the only thing that hurts.” The
young women nodded her head and sighed. Reaching for a white bandage she
removed the one from his head and looked at his head. He had a huge cut
on his forehead and she touched it carefully. Smiling she put on the
new bandage and stood up.
“ Your lucky to be alive you know?” the women said walking to the
table. The young man looked at the women curiously and didn’t know what to
say. The women carried the tray of food to the young man and set it down
in front of him. Sitting back down she sighed and looked at him.
“ I found you on a beach not far from here, all beaten and bleeding
badly. Any longer out there and you might not of survived.” the women said
seriously. The young man shook his head and sighed.
“ Then...I owe you my life.” the young man said slowly. The women shook
her head and said “ It was my pleasure to help you, besides....I like
to help people.” The young man smiled then looked down at his food.
Gently reaching for a spoon he looked at the soup that laid before him and
he eat it quickly. The young women looked shocked then laughed.
“ You must be hungry I take it.” the women said while she was laughing.
The young man stopped and blushed.
“I...uh...well...yes I am hungry...sorry about that.” the young man
said shyly. The women smiled and said “ Don’t be...its alright to be
hungry. After all...you’ve been in a coma for the past year.”
The young man looked shocked and then tried to remember what had
happened to him. In his mind he saw a young girl, about 17 that had a soft
smile and warm eyes.
“ I love you...” a soft voice rang through his head. His eyes saddened
as he remembered the voice. The young women noticed this and looked at
him with concern. “ Are you alright?” her voice spoke softly. The young
man nodded and said “ What’s your name?” The women smiled and said “ My
name is Ryanna. What’s yours?” The young man smiled and said “ Mine is
Tidus.”

Chapter 3
Disturbed Soul
“ Ryanna....where am I?” Tidus asked slowly as he looked around
slowly. Ryanna stood up and walked to the nearby window. Moving the
curtains out of the way she opened up the window and moved out of the way so
he could see out the window. Tidus slowly moved the sheet and blanket
off of him and tried to stand up. As he stood up a sudden tiredness took
a toll over his body and he felt weak all over. Feeling dizzy and light
headed Tidus grabbed his head and under him his knees gave out and he
fell to the floor. Ryanna quickly sprang into action and ran to him.
Catching him before he hit the floor Ryanna helped him up to his feet.
Putting his right arm over her shoulder she helped walk him over to a
chair near the window and she gently helped him sit down on it gently. As
he sat down he gently lifted a hand to his forehead and rested it there.
As he closed his sea blue eyes slowly he let out a deep sigh and then
opened his eyes again. Moving both of his hands to his right leg he
rested his hands on his leg and looked at Ryanna with a confused look.
“ You haven’t used your legs in a year or so. It will take some time
for your legs to be normal again but it will happen if you practice
walking on them again.” Ryanna reassured Tidus with hope in her voice. Tidus
smiled and nodded, then the sound of the sea roared through the wind as
it blew into the room. Turning his head toward the window Tidus looked
outside to see a sight he would never forget. As he looked out onto
the beach his face turned to a shocked expression. Outside he could see
the towering peak of a snowy mountain, fog slowly circled its way slowly
around the top of the mountain, making it seem like someone had just
let out a smoke ring from smoking a cigarette. As Tidus moved his
attention down the mountain he saw snow slowly falling from the sky, slowly,
as if time its self was slowing down. His attention caught the bottom
of the mountain as he saw a beached area covered with the pure white
snow. The mixture of snow and sand showed easily, even from far away as
Tidus looked out at the view. The mixture of snow and sand made a
brownish- whitish color, and shells from the ocean were settled on the top of
the snow. The ocean water was a mixture of water and ice. Small chunks
of ice drifted endlessly in the cold water as the water its self tried
to go onto the land, only to be disappointed and drift back into the
giant ocean of mystical blue water. Sunlight poured down between the
clouds trying to block the sun and reached the ocean surface. As it touched
the water lit up and made the sunlight sparkle as the waves flowed in
and out of the beach. Tidus continued to stare at the sight and Ryanna
smiled to herself.
“ Do you remember what this place is called?” Ryanna asked as she stood
up and folded her arms in front of her chest. Tidus, snapped out of his
thoughts and turned his attention to Ryanna. Shutting his eyes he
remembered his journey here with his friends.
Lulu....Wakka....Kimahri....Auron....Rikku....and his one true love, Yuna. Remembering his trip up
this mountain he searched his memory for the name of the mighty mountain
that laid before him.
Tidus slowly walked over the green grass that surrounded him in
every direction possible to see. The Calm Lands laid in every direction and
he smiled to himself. Not too far behind him was his friends as they
turned to the Al Bhed resting area in the center of the Calm Lands. As
they entered it everybody went to opposite corners of the resting center
and started relaxing. Auron, stood near the entrance and stared into
the endless green of the Calm Lands. Rikku, stood not to far behind him,
trying to think of a way to prevent Yuna from dieing. Yuna and Lulu
were talking in the middle of the area, while Wakka was lost deep in
thought. Tidus sighed as he knew that the time was drawing nearer. He was
going to see Zanarkand but not his Zanarkand....only the ruins of a
destroyed city over a thousand years ago. Tidus blinked his sapphire blue
eyes and turned his attention to the east side of the Calm Lands.
Catching his attention he saw a mountain peak, towering over the surrounding
cliffs of the Calm Lands. The mountain peak towered over the landscape
surrounding it and it looked like it did not welcome the weak. Turning
his attention back to his friends he caught Kimahri looking at the
mountain as well. Sighing he walked over to Kimahri and looked at him
curiously. Kimahri smiled to himself and looked down at Tidus.
“ Great mountain Gagazet Kimahri’s home. Not seen home for many years
now. Other Ronso live their too.” Kimahri spoke clearly and briefly,
leaving Tidus in confusion as usual. Tidus moved his attention back and
forth between Mt. Gagazet and Kimahri and finally got it.
“Oh, so....maybe we’ll see your family once we get there huh?” Tidus
spoke with cheer in his voice. Kimahri shook his head and looked back at
the devastating peak.
“ Kimahri have no family...but....Kimahri have friend’s now hmm?”
Kimahri spoke smiling a little. Tidus, though now showing it, felt a little
scared looking at Kimahri smile. The great and silent Kimahri
smiling?!?! What was this world coming too?!?! Though relieved to hear Kimahri
saying this Tidus nodded his head, smiled, and laughed out loud.
“ Yup! You do have friends!” Tidus spoke happily. Kimahri, sill
smiling, nodded and then turned back to his normal position with his arms
folded in front of his chest and his usual stare into space. Shaking his
head slightly Tidus turned away and the group got ready to continue his
adventure.
( End of Memory)
“ This mountain is Mt. Gagazet isn’t it?” Tidus asked Ryanna as he
opened his eyes to see the young women still in the same position. A small
smile appeared on her face and she nodded her head. Her eyes seemed
glad and happy as she walked toward the door. Holding up one finger she
walked out and disappeared behind the door. Tidus, taking that as a be
right back sign, turned his attention back to the view of the mountain
and closed his eyes again. Thinking of Yuna he didn’t notice the tear
forming out of his eyes and as they fell down his face.
“ I will return to you soon Yuna....I promise.” Tidus said as he opened
his eyes again. His eyes seemed very different that time. His eyes were
filled with sorrow, loneliness, and grief. These feelings came from his
very soul that was about ready to tear him apart from the outside. His
soul was missing his other half of it. He had heard from his mother one
time that the person you love will always be half of your soul and she
was right. Not being near Yuna was the worst thing he had ever
experienced in his life. He had fallen in love with Yuna the minute he had laid
his eyes on her. The minute his sapphire blue eyes met her green and
blue ones he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his days with her.
He longed for he day that he would have her in his arms again, that he
would feel her lips on his, and that he would feel her heartbeat beat
against his.
“ I will find you Yuna...even if it takes me my whole life.....” Tidus
whispered to himself as the sea wind blew into the window making his
own hair blow along with it.

In the lower eastern part of the world of Spira there laid a small
desert island called Bikanel Island. One year ago there once was a place
called Home for the Al Bhed to live together but then the Guado came
and destroyed it. Now, one year later, the Al Bhed have gathered together
to rebuild their once proud Home. In the ruins of a destroyed city were
lots of Al Bhed working and talking with each other about plans. One
of these Al Bhed with 17 year old Rikku and she had matured greatly over
the year.
“ Rikku! I need some help over here!” Rikku’s father, Cid, called to
her from across the room. Rikku, turned her head as her long blonde hair
waved back and forth as the hot desert wind blew around her. Wiping the
sweat from her forehead she put down the papers she was looking at and
walked to her father. Cid looked at her and shook his head.
“ I can’t figure out which one should go where. Can you figure this
out?” Cid said as he handed Rikku the papers he was holding. Rikku, took
them and then looked at the machina.
“ Ok....this should go here.” Rikku said as she handed Cid the gear
part and pointed to a certain point on the machina engine. Cid nodded and
attached the part slowly then reached for a wrench and tightened the
screw around it. Rikku then pointed to another slot and Cid put on the
other gear. Rikku them smiled and looked at her father.
“ You know dad....your gonna have to get this sooner or later.” Rikku
said as she punched her father playfully in the arm. Cid smiled to
himself and then laughed. Rikku smiled also and then laughed herself. After
a few minutes they both stopped and Rikku turned back to where she was
working. Smiling to herself she walked back to where she was before and
she picked the papers back up. Going through them she took in a deep
breath and then it all out. Finally she stopped at a certain paper and
started reading it. Sighing she lifted one hand and rested it over her
mouth. Not knowing she was being watched another Al Bhed slowly walked
up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. Turning her attention to the
back of her she smiled at who she saw.
“ Can I help you with anything Rin?” Rikku asked formally as she looked
at Rin. Rin nodded and moved his goggles away from his face.
“ I was wondering if you could tell me where your father is?” Rin asked
as he looked around. Rikku pointed behind him and Rin saw Cid.
“ Thank you Rikku.” Rin said before taking off but he stopped when he
saw Rikku’s face suddenly change from happy to worried.
“ Is anything the matter Rikku? You don’t seem like yourself lately.”
Rin asked worryingly. Rikku sighed and looked at Rin with a very
worried expression on her face. Shaking her head she slowly closed her green
spiral eyes and then opened them but kept their attention on the
floor.
“ I’m....really worried about my cousin...Yuna. Ever since...Tidus left
she’s been so depressed and lonely. I just don’t know what to do
anymore to cheer her up. I want to go help her but...I need to stay here and
help rebuild our Home. God....life can be so hard sometimes.” Rikku
said as she moved her attention back up to Rin’s. Rin looked at Rikku for
a minute then sighed.
“ It’s up to you what to do Rikku. I’m sure that whatever decision you
make it’ll be the right one.” Rin said as he patted her right shoulder.
Smiling she nodded and then turned back to the papers. Looking back at
them she tried to feel better but she couldn’t shake the feeling that
somewhere, something was very wrong.

The afternoon sun shadows slowly made its way slowly up the cliffs
of Besaid. The shadows seemed to creep their way up, covering everything
that touch in darkness. On the small path that went past the falls
Lulu, Wakka, Kimahri, and Yuna slowly made their way toward the waiting
boat at Besaid Harbor called the S.S. Liki. Lulu slowly walked ahead of
the others and she looked at the ground as she walked. Turning her head
she looked back at Wakka and kept her attention on him for a minute. He
wasn’t paying attention so he didn’t know he was being watched by Lulu.
Sighing she turned her attention back forward and moved one of her
braids away from her face. Her purple lips slowly opened to release another
sigh.
“ I feel so depressed lately....and this isn’t like me at all.” Lulu
said to herself. Raising her attention to the light blue sky she stared
up at it and thought of the past.
“ Well....Sir Auron...it’s been a year since you were sent. We all owe
you so much...I hope you found peace in the Farplane.” Lulu whispered
softly as she smiled and close hey eyes slowly as she continued to walk
down the path slowly and steadily.
Wakka walked forward and looked at the path that he walked over a
year ago with one of all of his friends. Now....he was walking without one
of his best friend’s. During their journey together Wakka and Tidus
quickly became best and true friends. They had made good memories together
with all their friends but now....it just wasn’t the same without him.
He would always make things brighter and more fun but now that he was
gone....things were alot more gloomy without him. Sighing a heavy sigh
he looked back at Yuna and saw that she was deep in thought as she
walked. As he stepped onto the bridge that went along Besaid Falls he sighed
and then continued to walk slowly.
“ Tidus man....come back soon ya? Yuna needs you badly.....” Wakka said
slowly.
Yuna slowly clutched her hands together as she walked the rocky road
of Besaid. Slowly walking behind everyone she closed her eyes and
thought of that night that Tidus and herself kissed for the first time. It
was a magical moment that both of them wouldn’t forget their whole life
but now she wouldn’t be able to feel his lips anymore. Closing her eyes
she held them tightly shut as a tear slipped down her face. Holding in
her emotions she slowly stepped onto the bridge that walked by the
falls. She stopped moving in the middle of the bridge and she looked at the
mighty falls. The roar of the falls beat against the her small frail
chest as she slowly closed her eyes and tried to walk on. As she took the
first step she suddenly felt light headed and dizzy. Using one hand to
grab her head and the other for the railing of the bridge she tried to
keep her balance but she lost it. Slowly falling to the ground she fell
unconscious before she hit the ground.
Yuna’s eyes were filled with true fear as she looked at her
surroundings. The world around her was pitch black and spirits were flying
everywhere around her. They were screaming a scream filled with true pain and
horror. As the screams got closer to her she widened her eyes in
horror. Covering her ears with her hands she fell to her knees as tears
streamed down her face. She didn’t want to be here....she wanted to be in
Tidus’s warm, safe arms. She wanted to feel his warm soul again...she
wanted to feel safe again....she wanted to see him again.
“ TIDUS!!!!” Yuna screamed as the screams of the dead got louder. Then
almost suddenly a blinding white light came and covered Yuna. She
slowly released the pressure on her ears and she looked around.
Dark....total darkness surrounded her as she looked around. Slowly getting up she
looked around in confusion and then she heard a small voice .
“ Yuna.....help me....” the voice said slowly and as it echoed. Yuna
head franticly turned from left to right, looking for the voice that was
calling her but she saw no one around.
“ Lady Yuna....the time has come....” the voice said next. Yuna started
to feel scared again and she hugged herself from the sudden cold that
surrounded her body. The cold wasn’t from any wind or air, it was the
cold of evil. The chilling darkness that seeps into a person’s soul and
gradually fills the soul of the victim over time. Then the person starts
to feel anger inside and over time that anger turns to hatred and then
worse....pure hate. This pure hate was recognizable to Yuna very well
for once she knew a man that had nothing but hatred and insanity in his
soul. This man’s name was Seymour and he was a man that wanted or
craved power. Seymour was a threat to the world of Spira and Yuna had
finally sent him once they were inside Sin last year but when she was dancing
she looked into his eyes and saw a feeling that she would never forget.
Seymour had the look of revenge in his eyes and that look still haunted
her dreams.
“ Keep away from me!” Yuna screamed as her voice also echoed. Then she
heard footsteps coming toward her. Turning around she saw a figure
walking up to her and the figure lit up so she could see who it is. She
gasped and looked in fear at who she saw. Seymour was standing in front of
her with a evil look on his face.
“ Even....if I am dead...I will never give up to take over the world of
Spira!” Seymour said as his eyes glowed a blood red color. Yuna backed
up a little and then fell onto her back. Seymour continued to walk
forward to her while Yuna back up as she shook with fear.
“ You cannot stop the destruction of the evil that is coming! Not even
you and your pitiful little friends.....” Seymour said with a cold tone
as ice in his voice. Then he disappeared and then a loud voice filled
the air.
“ The True Evil is coming.....he will rule over all! He will destroy
the world of Spira and all you pitiful mortals with it!!!!” the voice
boomed. Yuna then felt a searing pain go through her and the world again
went black. Yuna opened her eyes slowly to find Kimahri, Lulu, and Wakka
kneeling over her with worried faces. Yuna moaned and grabbed her head
tightly. It was pounding and she felt really weak.
“ Are you ok?” Lulu asked as she felt Yuna’s forehead for a fever. Yuan
tried to answer but she couldn’t. Wakka looked at Lulu and Kimahri and
gave them a look.
“ We had better take her back to the village.” Wakka said importantly.
They both nodded and Yuna again moaned in pain. Kimahri gently picked
her up and walked back to the village with Lulu and Wakka not to far
behind.

“ Auron.....I....never knew you had a soft spot for this...girl...”
Jecht said, still a little shocked at what Auron had told him and
Braska. Braska merely smiled and looked at his friend. Setting a hand on his
shoulder Braska looked at his friend and gave him a serious look.
“ I’m sure....she still loves you Auron....” Braska said. Auron merely
clutched his hand and closed his eyes. Turning and walking away he
stopped a few feet away from them and looked back.
“ We....were just kids then.....” Auron said before walking away and
out of sight. His footsteps echoed as Auron walked through the small
field. As he walked he could feel his heart getting heavier and heavier.
He hadn’t stopped loving her...he couldn’t. She had been the only women
that ever touched his heart the way she did. He couldn’t ever forget
her touch, voice, and soul. It had been so long but still...he had never
forgotten. He would find a way back to Spira....even if it cost
him...everything.
The sun was setting slowly on the sea as he walked up to the dock area
of Bevelle. As he neared the dock he saw his best friend sitting on the
end of it. Reandra was just staring at he sea with her beautiful brown
that was full of emotion that was just indescribable. Slowly he walked
up to Reandra and put a hand on her shoulder. Looking behind her
Reandra smiled once she saw Auron and patted the wood next to her. Auron sat
down next to her and looked at the water.
“ Sure is beautiful huh?” Reandra’s soft voice spoke as she smiled a
small smile. Auron nodded and looked at Reandra.
“ I heard about your mom....I’m sorry.” Auron said as showed a face
full of concern. Reandra closed her eyes and shook her head.
“ At least she didn’t suffer when she died....she was ill anyway...at
least she wont have to suffer anymore.” Reandra said softly as she tried
to smile a small smile again. Auron looked at Reandra with a face full
of concern. She had gone through so much in her life and yet....she
still smiled. Opening her brown eyes she smiled and looked at Auron.
“ Wanna go for a walk along the beach?” Reandra asked standing up and
stretching a little. Auron laughed a little to himself and stood up.
“ Sure.” Auron said as he turned and walked down the dock with Reandra.
Turning onto the sand she slowly moved a piece of hair out of her face
and looked at Auron. Smiling she looked at the sunset as the color’s
reflected off of her skin. Auron looked at the sunset too and then looked
back at Reandra.
“ So how’s the “big “ training coming?” Reandra teased as Auron smiled
and laughed.
“ It’s coming ok. How’s the “fabulous” cooking coming?” Auron said as
he moved joking moves with his hands. Reandra stopped and put her hands
on her hips. Giving him a playful glare she scowled him playfully.
“ Now Auron are “you” mocking “ MY” cooking?” Reandra asked with a
playful, angry tone. Auron stopped also and moved one of his black strands
of hair from his face. Moving one of his hands onto his chin he stroked
it and looked at Reandra with a playful look.
“ No...not at all Reandra.” Auron said smiling. Reandra eyed Auron
again and raised her hand to her chin also. Auron eyes her also and Reandra
gently pushed her index finger on his chest.
“ Is that so?” Reandra said as a smile appeared on her face. Auron
nodded and then looked at Reandra again. Smiling a playful devilish grin
she pushed Auron back and he fell into the ocean water behind him. Auron,
caught off balance fell into the cold water and looked at Reandra
shocked. Reandra grabbed her stomach with her arms and roared with laughter.
Auron smiled evilly and sneaked a hand up to Reandra’s ankle. Pulling
forward Reandra screamed in shock as she fell into the cold salt water
beside him. Auron this time laughed as Reandra stood up in the water
shocked. Reandra looked back at Auron laughing and splashed water on him.
Auron splashed her back and soon it turned into a water war. Finally
stopping Reandra smiled at Auron and gave him a soft look.
“ Thank you Auron....you have really helped me out through my
life....I’m glad were best friends.” Reandra spoke softly as Auron nodded back.
As they got out of the water the sun set on the Bevelle Harbor.
( End of Memory)
Auron looked at the ground painfully and thought of Reandra.
“ Soon....soon Reandra....” Auron spoke softly.
In another part of the Farplane a single soul stood out from the
others. This soul was turning black and growing a human form. As the
soul grew the human form he opened his eyes to reveal blood red eyes. The
soul smiled a evil smile and it spoke some words.
“ The evil...is coming...” the voice spoke
