Additional Info	During his Junior High years, Mitsui was chosen as the MVP in the National Championships. When he entered the Shohoku High Basketball Team, everyone (including the seniors) looked up to him. However, he sustained a very serious knee injury and had to abstain from basketball for a while. When he recovered and returned to the team, it seemed as though everyone has forgotten about him - and that Akagi was now the one whom everyone looked up to. Feeling devastated, he decided to quit basketball and started hanging out with the gangsters instead - he even became their leader! During a fight with Ryota and the other basketballers in the basketball court, Anzai-sensei suddenly walked in and all the sweet memories of playing basketball came flooding back into Mitsui's mind. From then on, Mitsui has decided to rejoin the basketball team and has since contributed to many of Shohoku's success. Shohoku's best 3-point shooter, Mitsui is very strong-willed and is always ready to fight for victory. He is charismatic and may be arrogant, at times. Mitsui once lost his front teeth after a fight with Miyagi Ryota and has now replaced them. Also has a scar on the left side of his chin.
