Taoka Moichi
The coach of Ryonan High's Basketball Team. Taoka Moichi is a strict and hot-tempered coach. Most of his students easily gets on his nerves, but surprisingly though, it is different for Sendoh. Taoka finds it hard to get angry with Sendoh - probably because Sendoh is always smiling! In the past, Taoka has always wanted to form the perfect team consisting of Uozumi, Sendoh, Rukawa, Mitsui and Ryota. However, he could not accomplish his dream as 3 of them has gone to join Anzai-sensei of Shohoku High. He views Sendoh as Ryonan's ace - very confident in his skills and that Sendoh is his great achievement in his years of basketball coaching.
