Both detectives stood up a bit shaken and began to brush the soot off themselves. Surveying the scene no one else appeared to be in the vicinity so they moved to a safe distance and kept an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. The building was in flames and the fire truck sirens could be heard approaching. Evan reached down to use his cell phone and cursed when he realized that it had been broken when he hit the ground. Michelle handed him hers only to find out that it too had been destroyed in the blast.

"Well, let's try to radio in?" Evan said. "Damn, I forgot the radio in the truck isn't fixed yet."

"Great! What are we supposed to do now?" Chen was slightly annoyed at their situation.

"Let's just wait until the fire dept. gets here and will use their radio to call in."

"Sounds good to me." Both took a seat on the nearby sidewalk and waited.

Feverishly tapping at the keyboard, Harvey continued to hum the Andy Griffith theme as he started the loop. Once he was done he grabbed the phone and gave Nash the green light. A thousand thoughts ran through his head as he waited to find out what was going on with the two teams. He volunteered to go to the last site alone, but Nash had decided it was better to have him at the SIU. In his mind he could have been doing much better if he were out trying to help. Ronnie nervously walked over towards Harvey's direction and was promptly stopped.

"What's up Ronnie?"

"The target Chen and Cortez went after detonated."

"What?! Were they hurt?" Harvey was trying not to get frantic, but it was useless. Evan was his partner and Michelle was his friend he had to know if they were all right.

"We're not sure yet. We've been trying to radio them, but we're not getting an answer. They`re not answering the cells either."

"Dammit!" Immediately Harvey hopped out of his seat and got on the phone. He called Nash and was less than pleased with being ordered to stay calm and wait to see if Evan and Michelle called. Harvey lasted about fifteen minutes before he finally could take it no longer. Before Ronnie could stop him he had grabbed his coat and was at his car door.
