DRAGONRIDER
No dragon slayer, nay, is he
There's oft-told tales of bravery,
Though knights would call him bold,
But Dragonrider of the Skies
Bedecked with rings of gold.
Of maidens saved from death ...
Of Kingdoms brought from treachery ...
Of flames in dragon's breath...
Though dragons can be fearsome beasts,
The Rider's never are.
They only strike where evil lurks
Beneath the moon and stars.
So, if some night around the fire,
These tales-of-old you hear,
Believe them and then look around ...
The Rider may be near...
Some call this Flight of Fancy but
I know this to be true.
My Dragonrider still lives on ...
'Cause, in my heart, he's you ...
