Chloe hadn't been in Port Charles very long, and she had already been to a party, a board meeting, and now, a wedding. It was the day of Carly and AJ's wedding, and everyone was there, including one Jasper "Jax" Jacks. When Chloe came down the stairs and saw Jax, a smile came to her face. She told Jax that if she had knew he was coming, then she would have worn a more perilous pair of shoes. Edward looked on in disapproval.

At the wedding, Chloe got the opportunity to meet some more of Port Charles citizens, including Jerry and V.

 

Chloe told V. that she was unaware of how close she was to the bride and groom, because every time she glanced at her, she had tears in her eyes. V. told Chloe that she wasn't close to them, but that she always cried at weddings. Later, V. got a surprise when the bride's bouquet was thrown, and she was the one who caught it!

After all of the guests had left, Chloe wandered downstairs to the living room, searching for her shoes under all of the tables.

"Looking for these?" Jax asked.

Chloe turned around to see a smiling Jax, holding her shoes.

"Well, if it isn't the shoe fairy! Have you come to cut our throats and rob us blind and leave the poor Quartermaines to live in a fishing shack by the river?" Chloe said with a smile.

"No not tonight, I uh, in the mad dash for the door I left my cell phone behind." Jax explained. The two then had another laugh about how crazy the Quartermaines were and how they sure were good for entertainment value.

Jax then asked, hopefully, if Chloe would be staying around. Chloe informed Jax that she had intended to leave tomorrow, but had several urgent messages from a Lucy Coe.

"Oh, that would be about the GH Nurses Ball."

"Another party? I couldn't."

Jax smiled. "Oh, no, it's not a party, not with Lucy, it's more like a holy crusade, so you won't be going anywhere."

Jax and Chloe said their goodnights, and once Jax left the room, Chloe looked up and grinned.

"I'm only *thinking* he's interesting, Aunt Eleanor."
