A Letter To AmyBy Ezra Jack KeatsOne afternoon, a boy named Peter wrote a letter to his friend Amy. After he was done Peter went to mail it at the Post Office. The wind was so strong that it kept blowing the letter away. Peter bumped into Amy he fell down. She ran home crying. Finally it was Saturday and Peter thought about what the boys would say. Amy walked in and said, “Happy Birthday, Peter.” Mom brought out the cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Everybody ate some cake and went home. This book reminded me of my friend Kelsey because she is as clumsy as Peter and Amy. I think this book was funny. |
Title: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie By: Laura Numeroff Setting: This story took place inside of a little boys house with his friend the mouse. One day a little boy and a mouse were outside. The boy asked the mouse if he wanted a cookie. The mouse said yes. The mouse asked if he could have a glass of milk. When they went inside, he asked for a straw and a napkin. Then he looked in the mirror. If you give a mouse a cookie he will get carried away and start cleaning every room in the house. I liked reading this book because I thought the mouse was cute. The mouse reminded me of my sister because they both like to look in the mirror to check to make sure they are clean. My sister is always looking into the mirror to see if she looks just right. She likes when her hair is up in a braid. |
