Title: We’ll Never Forget You Roberto Clemente Author: Trudie Engel Robert Clemente was on a lot of teams. This story took place on the ball field in Puerto Rico, New York and Pittsburg. The characters included Roberto Clemente, his wife, the Dodgers coach, the Pirates coach and his friends. Roberto Clemente was born in Puerto Rico. He was poor. He didn’t have enough money to buy a bat or a ball. He used a broomstick and hit tin cans. He never struck out. He moved to the United States. He was on the Pirates team and had three thousand hits in his career. He won tons of awards and became rich. He had three children. One time he was on a plane and the plane exploded. He had a short life but everybody will always remember him. Opinion: I liked this book because I really like baseball and Roberto was an awesome player. I’ll never forget you Roberto Clemente.
