One snowy day, Richard and his friend, Doug, went to the principal’s office. They got in trouble. He got an F on his report card. Now he is staying back. He has to think of a way to get an A on his permanent record. Richard was trying to be as good as he could. He got a D this time. The next day, Richard came in to the classroom not a peep. He sat and was good the whole day. On his permanent record Mr. Ron put an A ++. Then he went to Richard and said, “You are going to the 6th grade.” Richard jumped out of his seat he was so happy! I
liked this book because I like playing at school and working with my teachers.

Title: Jeff Gordon Author: Glen Macnow The main character in this book is Jeff Gordon. The story mainly took place at the race tracks. Jeff Gordon was only fives years old when his step father bought him a quarter midget racer. That’s when he knew he wanted to race cars. At age seven he was winning every race he entered. When jeff was fourteen his family moved to Indiana where racing was more popular. In 1993 he won the Winston Cup Rookie of the Year. Then in 1995 he won the Winston Cup Championship. By 1997 Gordon was no longer regarded as the new kid. Veteran drivers had learned to respect him because he kept on winning. I liked this book because I love NASCAR racing and Jeff Gordon. |
