                    Book Review

One afternoon, Finley was watching loud television while his mom got ready for Grandpa to come. The next afternoon, Grandpa came to stay.  Grandpa kept on getting Finley in trouble.

One night, Mom and Dad went out. Grandpa and Finley made a mess of the house. They cleaned it up before Mom and Dad got home.          The next day Grandpa and Finley had a fishing contest.

I liked reading this book because Finley reminds me of myself.  Sometimes I spill my drinks, leave crumbs and put my feet on the sofa.

This story is about a girl named Amelia. She is funny because she does weird things.

Mrs. Roger’s gave Amelia a list of jobs to do around the house. The list asked her to make bread, pot the flowers, sweep the chimney, make a sponge cake and a chicken dinner. When Amelia tried to follow the directions she did it the funny way. She was very funny in this story.

Biography

Title: Carol Johnston

Author: Pete Donovan

The story took place mostly at the gym.

When Carol Johnston was little she insisted that she could do gymnastics but because Carol only had one arm her parents said no. When she got older, her parents said she could try.

Carol went to a gym. Her teacher looked at her and thought that she wouldn’t do what most of the girls could do. Carol certainly showed him. Soon she could do more than the other girls. Once she saw what the other girls could do she learned things that the others couldn’t. She finally accomplished her dream. Carol started to compete and win awards.

I liked this book because I like gymnastics. I also like this book because I like her dream and how she never gave up.
