One Saturday, Mr. Hatch had a box. Inside was a shiny bigger box that came in the mail. He saw a dozen chocolate pieces of candy. The mailman had to take a way his shaped box. He wasn’t happy for days. He did not smile for days.

I liked the part of the book when Mr. Hatch smiled for the first time.

Set ting: This story took place on Johnny Orchard’s farm.

This story is about a boy named Johnny Orchard who lived on a farm. Once Johnny found a mother bear and her cub. The mother bear was protecting her cub. Johnny was scared. The cub ran up to Johnny who gave the cub some maple sugar.

Johnny brought the cub home. Johnny’s father gave him some more maple sugar. The cub grew and grew and grew until the cub was no longer a cub. It was time for it to live on its own.

I liked this book because the bear was always helping Johnny find his way home.
