mission statement

Distinguished elder man of Nepal

The Men Of Color was established on January 1st 2000 as an Internet webRing network for male models of color.

With the purpose of increasing Internet and fashion industry appreciation of the artistic beauty and marketability of men from ethnicities other than caucasians, the Men of Color webRing connects online portfolios and facilitates positive exposure by sharing helpful information amongst its accepted members.

Our intention is not to discourage "white" models, but rather to promote and encourage  the frequently over-looked male models of non-European decent.

In a classic twist of irony, it should be acknowledged that the modern fashion modeling industry owes a tremendous debt of creation to the non-European races of the world. It is an ongoing tragedy how the descendants of the virtual creators of clothing   fashion, hair design, facial and body make-up, and wearable accessories have been systematically excluded from equal participation in the mainstream fashion industry.

The Men of Color celebrates a complete variety of the world's ethnic males. These diverse ethnicies and nationalities would include, but is not limited to --

Aborigine
African
Arabian
Asian
Bahraini an
Balinese
Black
Brazilian
Cambodian
