MURALS.
Bowen has fast become the Mural Capital of Australia with some 20 odd murals erected depicting glimpses into the town's past.
The Murals were erected by the Bowen Shire Festival of Murals Society Inc., and today, even more are being planned.
The murals started with a large one painted in three sections on the side of the Bowen Shire Council Library in Herbert Street. This depicts a horse & dray team at North Queensland's earliest licenced liquor premises- The North Australian Hotel.
