Look at me! I am an update! Look! Look!

*ahem* Now that I have your attention, I have no idea what to do with it. Is not that a shame? Umm... so, we finished painting for the summer. So I emailed my boss at the Helpdesk at Uconn, and she said I could work this week. Except I got to work on Monday and found out that I cannot work this week. Interesting... so the hours I put in Monday will be logged as Friday, so that I can get paid for them (which is nice), because that is the pay period during which the semester begins, I guess. Anyway, I got an IM from Scott a little while ago asking if I wanted to work over the weekend. Apparently all sorts of bribes are being offered, because, if I recall correctly, freshmen move in is Saturday, and everyone else starts Sunday. Thing is, in order to get their internet connection, they are all going to need to know their NetID. And, in order to get their NetID, they are going to need to remember and not have lost their PeopleSoft ID number. Which, to be blunt, is not too frickin likely. And, even if many of them do remember, the percentage left over is still quite a large number. All of which adds up to me not wanting to be there.

In other news, I am having all sorts of troule getting the loans I need in order to attend school this fall and next spring. Which also does not spell out happiness for YT. However, there does appear to be hope, thanks to the wonderful, beautiful people of the student financial aid services at Uconn. So, that is good. I think I will send them flowers... but not until I am sure that everything is taken care of. *grin* Plus, I do not have the money for it right now. Which reminds me, I should check and see if the silly Collegiate Painting people got around to giving me my money, or if I am going to have to find Gabe and mug him... extensively.

Hmm... the silly phone system they have set up for me to check my account information through does not seem to have my most recent information, because I know I spent my last three dollars on gas yesterday, in order get me home from Willimantic. So, I suppose if I am curious enough, I will have to go to the ATM to find out whether or not they direct deposited my check. Well, that is a long walk, so I better get started. *grin*
