At the beginning I never thougt it was possible to make a trip like this at this time of our life. But after some orientation it all wasn`t so expensive as we thougt. Especially living is very cheap, and transport as well.
We have a budget of 15 dollars a day a person, for living and transportation. Above that there are a lot of other costs. For most of the countries in Asia ypou require a visum. The price varies greatly between countries, but an avarage of 20 to 50 dollar is normal. So this is something to take into account.
Then there`s insurance. We only want to have a medical insurance, but this is not a possibility, because we couldn`t find a company who offers something like that. (Please mail me if you know one!)
Instead we found a company who offers an affordable alternative wich includes luggage. It`s `de europesche`. It`s the cheapest option, for 365 days insurance. (www.europeesche.nl). It`s cheaper than the well known, always advised ISIC insurance!
It still costs about 300 dollars, but given the fact that we don`t have a medical insurance in our home country anymore, it isn`t that much.
The tickets to Istanbul we bought with `kilroytravels.com` (www.kilroytravels.com), the very cheapest ticketseller on the web! It`s only for students and people under 26, unfortunately, but no problem for us!
