El Reencuentro's June 11-18 trip to
New York went great! Charlie, Ray, Ricky, Johnny, Miguel, and
Rene arrived in New York at LaGuardia airport at 2:14 p.m. on
June 11. They were greeted by about 100 fans, and the Spanish
speaking press. The guys were mobbed, but they were very friendly
and cordial signing autographs and taking pictures. The guys were
busy with interviews and sightseeing in the Big Apple.
On June 13, Charlie's 29th birthday, the guys performed at the 116th Street Festival. This festival takes place every year the day before the Puerto Rican Day Parade. They sang "Claridad" and "A Volar" at the festival.
On June 14 the parade traveled along Fifth Avenue between 44th and 86th street.
On June 15, the group was busy all day meeting with many people of the press.
On June 17, at 8 p.m. El Reencuentro appeared at the Fashion Cafe in NYC. The event was closed to the public with only 25 fans, who won a contest through local NY radio stations, present and the press.

EL REENCUENTRO NY concerts!
EL REENCUENTRO will be doing two concerts in NYC on Friday,
August 14 and Saturday, August 15 at Radio City Music Hall. Shows
start at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday,
June 20 and can be purchased at Radio City Music Hall or via Ticketmaster.
