Jack Gibbons is Tommy Gibbons' second oldest child and one of only two children alive and present at the Dempsey-Gibbons fight in July 1923.  Jack attended Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.  He is pictured (right & below) with his fiance Marie Fandel.  During the summer of 1941, Jack worked out west in the Glasier National Park in Montana.  During his stay at Glasier, Jack acquired a strep infection  in his foot.  An infection that would easily be treated today with antibiotics caused his death at the age of 21.
