Jerome and Mark
Mark Anthony was attending St. John's University at Collegeville in December of 1947. He was engaged to be married. Mark was also to act as best man in his brother Greg wedding's the following June. On the afternoon of Dec 19th, Mark was playing hockey with some of his buddies at school. When they finished they were heading to dinner at the college cafeteria. Each had gone to his dorm room to change. When a friend of Mark's came to meet him for dinner, he found Mark dying of heart failure. He was 22 years old.* Mark was to be the bestman in his brother Greg's wedding the next June. Greg and Shirlee went to pick Mark up from the train station and when he was not on the train, they went back to the house. Tommy Gibbons was sitting at the kitchen table. When they walked in he looked up and said "Your brother is dead."** Very sad.
